Ready to internet!

I've got all but the Drac Medal. R. Eye of the Devil helps a lot. All I have to do is hit the bosses and know how to dodge the attacks. After the Dracula Medal, I'm gonna get Melio Macir and go for Jiang Chi.

And Cpadolf, get a Master's Ring first (do all quests and talk to Nikolai), you'll cut your time in half.

Doesn't work with a Master ring equipped. You need a emperor ring and a tower ring (to not get knocked down) equipped, and use the R glyph that makes you regenerate. Having the emperor ring on makes you get 2hp every time instead of one, and without that I would get killed in about 1 hour by the fomors.

Also IIRC Jiang Chi doesn't have a medal.

and i know Jiang Chi doesn't have a medal, as there's one space left on the Items Guide (medal area) and I know it's for Dracula.

Actually, you can't even kill Jiang shi...
you can only put a stamp on his face that stops him from moving, and if you rip the stamp, he'll just revive.

One thing I definitely like about Circle of the Moon: Whip damage = Slide damage = Any other kind of Nathan Graves attack damage (such as Tackle) FTW. Other things include no money (and therefore no shops, whoopee!) and a bitchin' Double Jump.

1993 - two years before Dracula X.

The first game in the series bearing the name is Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo. Released in 1993 for the PC Engine.

The SNES game is just a gimped remake anyway, so Rondo is still the original Dracula X.

Exactly, but I think Zhs2 was looking an names outside of Japan. If you're going by Japan-only names, then there is only one, as the SNES game is Dracula XX.

Yay, I beat Albus mode on OoE. Cheapo, just had to repeatedly time the X button.

It seemed that the slide kick feels awfully nerfed on the DS Metroidvanias (I have some idea why they called it that, but meh).

WOOH.

Finished Fresh Hard Mode Level 1 cap. I even went out of my way to get the medals. I'm now going to perpetually loop "We Are The Champions" whilst playing a New Game+ Level 255 Cap. I feel I deserve it :)

I think that was easier than my first playthrough of that game.
And what's so good about hard max lv.255? was there a levelcap there before I beat that mode?(for normal mode)

Yeah, lvl 99 is the max before that. And I think you can get to lvl 255 in normal mood too after unlocking it.

were you doing a clean run or a New Game+? cause there is no way in Hell that you could've found Hard Lv.01 easier than Normal mode unless it was New Game+

Yes. it was a newgame plus. are you suggesting that you didn't do new game+?? If that's true, you deserve a pat on the back, because..damn. That sounds impossible IMO.

It was a Fresh Hard Level 1 game, and it is near-impossible (or at least seems to be) until you get past Ruvas Forest with Fidelis Caries. That makes the Skeleton Cave bearable. Anyway, I didn't do New Game+ with Hard Level 1, as it kind of destroyed the point of the game, which I believe is "Have unholy hell released on your ass and still get through relatively unscathed due to your leet reflexes"

Anyway, if you want to know how hard a Fresh Level 1 run is, just think of it with a different name: "IWBTG" Mode

I finally decided to do a new game plus run since I managed to finish the stupid Large Cavern - which wasn't so bad once you learn that Hammer + Volaticus works quite well on Double Hammers. Weapon Masters were a bit annoying, but still not that bad once you learn a few tricks. :D

Are you supposed to start at whatever level you were at before when starting a new game plus on Normal mode? I was expecting to have all my gear, but I didn't think I would be level 62, still have my 850+ health, etc. at the beginning of the game. I guess it's nice being able to seriously overpower yourself, being able to collect HP/MP/Heart ups again. Also collecting boss medals is a joke now, since I destroyed the first two bosses in less than 5 seconds each. The stupid crab thing is now giving me trouble. I would have had him cleared no problem, but he hit me right before I could finish him. But I'll figure him out soon enough. Once I get these boss medals, I'll probably take on Hard Mode.

On that note: Has anyone else gotten a chance to play Judgement yet?

question: is there a max to how many hp max+s you can get? I have 1152 hp, and they don't seem to do anything anymore.

I have three of each boss medal =D (except for the crab. I have two of his medal :/)

Haven't played judgment yet.
