Hmmm... I have good style to master some of the sub-weapons in Portrait of Ruin.
In Dark Academy there is room near boss room (in that room is 4 Ghouls and Vapula)
Arrow G G  V  G G
G=Ghoul
V=Vapula
Kill Vapula and count how many times you have to hit Vapula to kill him (example: 5 times), exit and come back to room and this time hit vapula 4 times (if you follow example) and finish him with sub-weapon. Vapula is easy to kill and you get 12 Sp's when you kill him and there is save statue near, so it's easy to fill up your Mp (i used this way to master some of the sub-weapons)

If I got just one experience point a day, I'd still have mastered all of the sub-weapons between now and when this topic was last posted in. Razz

You know you don't have to make the sub-weapon the kill shot, right? If the enemy gets hit by a sub-weapon, the SP goes to the sub-weapon used on the enemy, even if you kill the target with the main weapon.

Kinda on-topic, I've been re-playing Portrait of Ruin. I forgot how utterly bat-shit Brauner sounds during the fight.

Is there a boss rush mode in Dracula X: Rondo of Blood PC Engine?

Nope.

Dracula X Chronicles had one though, and you could do it in 2P Co-Op as well.  Was fairly pointless though unless you wanted all the records for 100% completion.

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I've only ever had a 'friend' do that once, and it was when he was sat in a chair, and tried to reset the SNES with his heel.  He kicked the cartridge, and wiped all of my Super Mario Kart time trial times.  I had some pretty decent ones on there too. Sad

My POR save was corrupted by itself (and I was almost in 100%) '-,-
But it's propably sadder thing in OOE than POR because OOE is hardest DS Castlevania

Death to skinfags, sieg heil.
My super mario world game card is all broken or something. Every time you turn off the SNES it resets all the saved files.

Luckily though its really easy to beat in one sitting.

Save battery's dead. But what you said's true.

So, has anyone mentioned in this Castlevania topic, Koumajou Densetsu: Scarlet Symphony?

I'm pretty sure that could only happen on the old gameboy games and NES cartridges. Never heard of it being the case with SNES carts.

yeah, by the time the snes came around they had made a pact with satan to develop batteries that never die.

if only the american car industry knew about this.

Lolno. It can happen with SNES carts, it's just that they were released several years after the NES, so it'll take longer before people start complaining about it. Or something.

I'd say no.  If you remove the Castlevania name, it's not a good enough fighter to warrant the purchase.

Why am I so amazing?
I think I said some positive things about Judgement earlier in this thread, but I agree with Quietus in the long run. Even the Castlevania aspect of isn't a big draw thanks to the dramatic character redesigns making everyone nigh unrecognizable.

It's great if you like the old-school side-scroller Castlevania games. And speaking of Castlevania games on the Wii, when the hell will they release Bloodlines on VC already!? Brick wall

Concerning Judgment:  Boobs.  If that's not enough to warrant a purchase (or make you want to strangle yourself), then I don't know what is.

I wouldn't count on it.  The last console Castlevanias have been on PS2 and Xbox.  Though, I did hear rumors of a rail-shooter style Castlevania.  The video I saw looked god-awful and I hope they scrap it.

Definitely check out the classic Castlevanias though on the Virtual Console.  Those should keep you busy for a long while.
