Mister ...
As suggested, this is a topic where you can talk about anything and everything Castlevania.  Seems like a decent topic to create with Order of Ecclesia just being released.

I'm not entirely sure how to start off this topic, so here's a quick list of all the games for those who have never played the series before:
(NES)  Castlevania,  Castlevania II - Simon's Quest,  Castlevania III - Dracula's Curse
(GB)  Castlevania Adventure,  Castlevania II - Belmont's Revenge,  Castlevania Legends
(PC-ENGINE)  Chi no Rondo (Rondo of Blood)
(SNES)  Super Castlevania IV,  Castlevania - Dracula X
(GENS)  Castlevania Bloodlines
(PSone)  Castlevania Chronicles,  Symphony of the Night
(N64)  Castlevania,  Legacy of Darkness
(GBA)  Circle of the Moon,  Harmony of Dissonance,  Aria of Sorrow
(PS2)  Lament of Innocence,  Curse of Darkness
(DS)  Dawn of Sorrow,  Portrait of Ruin,  Order of Ecclesia
(PSP)  The Dracula X Chronicles
(DREAMCAST)  Castlevania Resurrection (Cancelled)
(MOBILE)  Order of Shadows

To get the topic going, how about your favorite character?

I'll just jump in and say that Richter Belmont is probably my favorite.
I just like his style, I suppose (And he sports one bad-ass outfit as well).

There's also Julius Belmont too I suppose
I think he's my favorite to play as because he's fast and is ridiculously over-powered in Aria of Sorrow

I've only played the GBA ones and the Gens one, but they seem great:)

Yo.
I don't have a favorite character; I haven't played enough Castlevania games. I'll hazard a popular one, though: Dracula. Who cares if he's died a bazillion times to the same clan over and over? HE JUST KEEPS COMING BACK. Now, that's what I call determination! (And, well, having the power of darkness to back him up is a pretty good advantage, too.)

Hehehe. In this topic, I spoil everything! EVERYTHING! Muhaha! Twisted Evil

Albus, your brother, goes evil 1 minute after you start the game on Order of Ecclesia.

Was never a big CV fan until I decided to get POR after Saber recommended it. He was right, and now I'm a fan. Have only played POR, a bit of SOTN, and some old one for the PS1, though.

Servin' you realness!!
I'm not really into castlevania.  I loved it from the original on up through Super Castlevania 4.  When Castlevania 64 came out I was VERY disappointed, and then the series went into this RPG direction that turned me off completely.  I preferred the linear action.  In fact, were it not for Super Metroid then I would have to say that Super Castlevania 4 would be my favorite 2D sidescroller ever.

Isn't Soma still Dracula? I thought was a big part of the plot.

No, he shed himself of that destiny in Aria. Only if you are playing Julius Mode is Soma Dracula in the entirety of the game. It was a big part of the plot in Aria, yes... It takes a backseat until Celia kills fake Mina in Dawn.

No, Soma is still Dracula. Julius Mode's awesomeness supersedes the main game's plot.

Introduced by way of Castlevania 2 on the NES. Found it endearing.. nice jingles, atmospheric.

No more experience until found a GBA, hooked up to GC, and played all 3 ((Circle of the Moon,  Harmony of Dissonance,  Aria of Sorrow)) which i recall as fun, but one was outstanding (was it COTM? i forget! It had a clock tower area...)

Judgement doesn't look too bad.  It looks more like your typical fighter than anything else, but still.  I just wish they didn't use Richter's voice from Dracula X Chronicles with Simon.  And hearing Alucard say "I will do neither" every time you select him is pretty lame.  The music does sound good.  Confirmed tracks so far are: Vampire Killer and Dracula's Castle (SotN), but I'm looking forward to seeing what else they've done.  I actually will get this game for the remixes more than I will for the actual game play, I enjoy the tracks that much.

On that note:  What's your favorite track from Castlevania?

Mine would be Bloody Tears, hands down:  I've got 10 different variations on my computer.  Vampire Killer, Simon's Theme, and the Bloodlines series (Bloodlines, Opposing Bloodlines, Divine Bloodlines as well as Blood Relations and Bloodlines Bequethed) are among my other favorites.  I actually don't think there's a single Castlevania track I don't like ...

Bloody Tears. The SCV4 version, to be specific. Heck, the whole game is pure musical genius (as well as CV:Bloodlines).

Super Castlevainia IV's Bloody Tears is a close second, but Crystal Teardrops is love.
