And it seems the forum no longer scrolls down whenever a new post is being created - you don't know until you check the scrolling bar or, yeah, just scroll down.
Interesting observation I've just made: If you view a topic (may be because I created it on the support board), if I'm not logged in the thread shows as 0 views and 0 replies before you enter it. The topic I created there is the prime example and ONLY when I logged in did the main board show that this thread had a reply! Cookies issue again?
just pushed out a new version. only major things people will notice were a fix for what andrew mills pointed out about guests' cache not being cleared and also that i stopped marking posts unread if they are edited unless it is the last post in the topic. this was causing a lot of confusion when people weren't sure why topics were being marked unread.
ryu, i wasn't able to duplicate that "bottom shakeoff" thing. i know it's happening but i'm not 100% sure why. with this big release last night i started hardcoding all avatar dimensions to keep posts from growing taller after they appear and shaking off the bottom of the window that way, but there must be something else going on. if it is due to images loading, though, you should be able to just scroll back down and it won't come back very often if at all, since whatever images are causing it will be cached on your side. this is going to be a long-term thing it seems like.
Just a minor bug, but Master-88's 100% PAL speed run topic refused to disappear from the 'unread' section, regardless of how many times I checked it, and I had to manually 'mark as read'.
Also, when we say 'ignore' a topic, is it just the tiny arrow that says 'don't mark an unread'?

already fixed. this was the non-last post edit mark unread thing. thanks though.

This has probably been brought up already, and it might just be me, but in the default forum skin (the name escapes me), the bold text doesn't seem very bold, if you know what I mean. I feel it needs 32% more boldness.
Also, when writing in the new post window, you can't highlight text and then click the effect (italics, underline, etc.) and have it applied to the highlighted text, the tags only go to the end of the post.
Apologies if this stuff has already been brought up, I've struggled to follow this thread lately.

which browser are you using? this is working for me in firefox 3.5.5 atm. did this work in that same browser you're using now under smf?
i'm just using the default bold setting font-weight: bold, which is the same as font-weight: 700 (900 is the highest). i'm hesitant to change it because 'bold' or '700 is pretty much the standard for displaying bold text. generally you'd only use 800 or 900 for thick headers or something.
also, bold stands out very clearly in my browser, and it should in others too. what browser are you using?
To be honest, I only brought it up because I thought it might be a taiga issue, but if you say it's my computer then it's not something I want you to be concerned about. Thanks anyway.
