right, that might happen now but once things are fixed it won't. basically, you only get scrolled down when a new post comes in if you're already scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page. so as soon as you start scrolling up, you will never be interrupted.

If you hide the header, then change skins, and show the header, it gets partially obscured by the bar that scrolls with you.

this is known, but nice find. it's actually one of the oldest bugs, yet i'm not sure why it happens.

I don't think edited posts are being marked as unread. That's not intentional, is it? I think either it should be marked as unread, or it should be ok to doublepost if you have something new to add or say.

just pushed out a new version for everyone. this version was delayed several times, so there's a lot of new stuff this time:

- fixed board mods' group names not showing up under user position in their posts and profiles
- fixed viewing read posts marks whole topic read
- number of unread posts in topic listed on the unread posts page
- fixed unread messages counter incorrectly showing 0
- fixed editing posts with [code] in them
- ignore topics and forums (in the triangle menu next to the forum or topic name)
- groups can now be set "invisible"
- taiga forum asks you if you really want to close the tab if you have entered text in the new post field but not yet submitted the post when you try to close the tab
- fixed scrolling glitches
- posting should be much faster now
- posts marked unread when edited
- drastically sped up main index view loading
- fixed autolinking
- fixed pm notifications
- fixed ghost unread post when merging topics
- birthday input fields under edit profile match your preference for date display order (thanks andrew mills!)
- added age to user profiles

biggest change stylewise this version is the new look for the taiga color styles - they're all lighter and more attractive. i definitely recommend checking out taiga blue if you haven't yet.

other changes:
- user pages show what topics the user is currently viewing
- user pages and edit profile pages line up properly.
- number of unread topics is now displayed in the title of unread view
- clicking a green (unread) topic icon takes you to the first unread post in that topic
- repositioned the "+/- size" postbox toggle
- forum title and subtitle now display properly with any size logo

2 things: might just be me, but the new messages counter still displayed zerowhen I had a new pm. I noticed this from my iPod touch (that I'm posting from now). So the cache was clean. 2nd problem (and for me personally it's a big one), the new post button when viewing the forum on an iPhone or iPod touch DOES NOT follow the forum as you scroll meaning not only does it appear under the 1st post and stay thre, but the text box (like right now for example) obstructs the first two posts. This -for me - is a major issue as ALL of my clients are iPhone/iPod touch customers. Oh and just spotted iPhone/iPod touch issue 3: if I try and use the exclimation mark icon it will simply push me out of my text box to the top of the forum again. :(

Thought u all might appreciate the feedback.

iPhone/iPod touch issue 5789: once a post is made it doesn't auto add itself. Instead, you have to re-enter the topic to view it.

Oh and one extra bit of feedback before I forget: the drill-down for the boards to topic at the top is going form right to left. Any chance of being able to have it going from left to right as for westerners using forums it's infinitely more natural to read.

It's a small thing (no pun intended) but I was going back through some of my old posts and noticed a sentence that I had originally put in a small font. That sentence was the normal size. It looks like the board doesn't use the 'pt' in the text code like it used to. Confused

Taiga keeps telling me I have a message (says messages [1]) but when I go through my PMs (lul) I don't have any un-read.

I do have like 3 pages of PMs though, is it still not possible to delete them?

Also, on Taiga Red, Blue, and Green if you click on unread, ther part where it says "Unread posts" is a bit messed up. On the other skins it just has "Unread" and "Posts" right next to eachother, but on the Taiga RBG skins it has "Posts" under "Unread".
