whoops, users didn't have permission to edit their own posts, thanks for letting me know. should be fixed now; just click the little pencil icon beside the date at the top of your post. the quote button's there now too.
sounds like a good idea to me. in the meantime, you can request email notification for topics you want to pay particular attention to by clicking the little down arrow beside the topic title when inside the topic. then just check "Notify me of new posts in this topic". also, there's also still the normal unread posts view.
the little samus icons will be back soon, don't worry. :)
