I founded this two year ago. Im never got any feedpack with this. I thinking i wanted create own topic with this. Right now it is pointless stuff, but if this can work elsewhere game thats might make some speedtricks/sbreaks possible in future.

Im not haved any idea how this bug will happen. But i got it succesfully my recorded attempts and here it is:

That's pretty cool, and most likely can be used elsewhere.  Good find. Very Happy

Holy crapola ! That's awesome. Do you know if it works everytime you do a speed ball here or does it appear to be very random ? I'm gonna try it...

well after practicing it it seems to be quite random. I'm not sure what the requirement is to make it work. I think landing as close to the pipe as possible could be a solution as this could give you more speed or something. Or maybe not. It could be doors positioned at the top of little slopes.

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It's to do with the buildup of slopes before the door.  In this room's case the ramp heads right to the door, with no flat ledge on the tope before the door cap.  I've tested this for a while in this room, and edited numerous other rooms to test this out.  It's completely random, and I didn't manage it once.  I managed to get wedged inside the door a few times, and even tried wedging myself, and then Crystal Flashing to get wedged in kneeling, but it made no difference to my entering the door.  TASers could probably rip this wide open.  As for your asking, MASTER-88 said that he tried for another 45 minutes, but could not reproduce it.  It's most probably to do with your horizontal speed.

I've got a savestate right before and I have just repeated it about 15 times. It mostly fails so I can't see it being a speed run trick for console. Not to mention it wouldn't save time here for a console run anyway because of our optimsation we already have. It does however, save a super. But even super conservation isn't a problem in this part ofthe run. It would be interesting to search for other areas with doors postioned directly on top of slopes like this.

I think it might be to do with speed ball execution upon landing to have fast accleration. As some speed or mock balls start off slow or fast depending how early or late you press direction to move onward... I think.

Yeah, it's the slopes causing it. You can do it through the roof slopes too. I checked the rest of the rooms years ago, there aren't any other places to do it in. At least, not any interesting places.
Slopes do nothing to limit Samus's horizontal motion, they simply eject Samus outside of them. Even if that means putting Samus inside a solid block, or inside a door. You just need high speed and position to get through a block in two frames to avoid clipping it.

Is there any other place in the game where this kind of trick would be possible?

Thats interesting know slope before door is main key make this possible. This spot morph balling is just very precise so this is totally useless, because its very hard to make. Maybe TAS runners can save super missile, but otherwise thats totally pointless trick here.

And like Kejardon say there is hard find other slopes like this. Maybe we can try find rooms like this and try out how this might work elsewhere but i think this trick never can used save time. Thats just fun cool looking stuff.

I was thinking this, as I was reading down. Could have possibly a long room with an upward slope then a solid one block wall. Anybody know if this would work?

No.  There need to be door blocks to activate the room transition.  It's not as simple as Samus just reaching the edge of the screen and the game automatically knowing where to send her.

I don't think he's talking about the transition, but is talking about a ramp propelling you far enough into a single-block wall to pass through it.  I guess it should be possible, as the door cap is the same width as other tiles...  Unless you're saying that this glitch only works with transition tiles, as they kinda 'suck' you in?

There's no reason not to. As far as Samus's motion is concerned, door blocks are identical to air, and shot blocks are identical to solid blocks.
