Well of course, with an emulator, there's no need to go in a save room, right?

Wrong. I accidentally SAVED instead of LOADING the state during the game over screen. Anyone got any game saves?

Nah, we just don't want rom trading and stuff. We're not gonna to be silly and disallow any talk of ROMs when they're used extensively in research.

Yeah. Gosh. Anyways does anyone have one? It really irritated me, having to go all the way back to BEFORE Kraid. I had just gotten out of Norfair, having succesfully gotten the PBombs, Ice Beam, Grapple beam, etc.

What's funny is, I don't have any. I don't use the save states, I save just as you would on the console. You should start doing that!

Sure does.

Perhaps thinking in terms of morals is better. Just make sure you factor in the rather large secondary market for NES and SNES games through used game stores.

Although, as Nate said, it depends largely on where you live, there's one unquestionable rule about ROM images: they're illegal unless you dumped it yourself from your physical copy of the game. That much is stated officially in manuals and stuff (or at least I remember reading it off a manual... >_>).

even then ... you have to respect the used game sellers in your area. i know that there's only crap (gamestop/eb) where i grew up in southeast houston, but that in wichita, there is a place called gamexchange, which is by far the most bad ass store i have been into in my entire life. period. that place deserves every game purchase made on the face of the planet, and then some.

it's not illegal to claim that something is illegal even when it is not, therefore they can do that.

As soon as the Rev comes out and Snes/Nes games are downloadable, there will be a huge rush of Nintendo trying to knock out the Roms 'n' such... As everyone can then actually get the games without the use of Ebay. At least thats my thoughts...

Hmm... Better get working on SM... I'm just past spore spawn. :P
