Well, don't know if that counts for filefront. Anyways, the best way would be to have an active e-mail adress linked with your filefront account.
You will then get a notification mail everytime one of your videos is about to be deleted, and be able to follow the link there to prevent it from being deleted.

I downloaded two of them right before my last post.  I watched them but they were real choppy.  I thought it was my settings or something.
As you can guess, it's playing fine on my PC.
AJAX, check your PMs.
We're getting off-topic, so let's handle this in PM from now on. I hope you're the only one who have problems.

In the techniques section of this site there is described how to make L jump and L-lock jump, creds to that. But what about the R jump? Its not mentioned anywhere as I see it. Combining R with the L jump gives even further distance, at least by my experience. To reach furthest distance possible on a space jump, I use the following: First L-lock jump quickly followed by a tap on R, and on the second jump I use "L+R jump" as I have chosen to call it. This gives a great boost to the lengt of the jump. Am I right here?

Back in the day it used to be called the "rodeo" jump. What you have described has been discussed many times before. I assume that the trick is not detailed on the site due to the fact that was discovered by many people and just became common knowledge within the community.

Also, the way the rick is performed has evolved over time. At one point it was believed that you had to lock your view down before you made a jump. As far as I know, this is no longer the case and it only serves to make sure that you jump at the last possible instant. Then, at some point the twist was added. For some reason the twist reduces resistance while airborne, resulting in a farther jump.

For a test of skill try to "rodeo" jump from the ledge in main quarry to waste disposal door.

I regreat I started to play MP so late =) Its probably the best game ever made.
Yes, I figured the twist would be helpful in some way, I havent explored it so much though. I tried the main quarry jump and it was a tough one. I almost reach it, as if Im only about a pixel away. I have also had a lot of trouble with the shortcut return from the X-ray chamber. That jump is an evil one.
So the rodeo jump would be something like what I described plus the twist?

In general, I think "rodeo" describes any jump that uses the R button to get extra distance. The twist is still a rodeo but is a sort of extension to that brand of jump.

The life grove jump is a totally different animal compared to the main quarry jump. For life grove you're going to want to go for more height than distance. this requires you to use your second jump much sooner than other jumps. Though a twist is extremely helpful in each instance.

I'm glad you are enjoying prime. It's never to late to learn. I'd say the biggest obstacle for learning the ropes would be finding information on obscure tricks without going to a forum.

Yes, the timing of the second jump is important to ajust length/height of a jump, but with time one will develope a sense of how to time it right for each jump.

Absolutely, in my case the forums have teached me the details about the tricks, but my primary source of inspiration would be speedruns. They usually have it all so to speak.

Btw, I nailed the main quarry jump, it wasnt all that hard that I expected, and it was a pretty good feeling
2 new videos :
- a very old trick, the HOTE 3bj, but a special video, trust me. Also, the comment may help people to make it more consistently
- the quickest way I know to make it into the electrical maze (invisible drone quick kill)

Then again, these videos have been encoded with almost the same settings as the SDA HQ videos. If you have any problems viewing them, just PM me and I will see if I can do anything, though Nate would certainly be more helpful than I would.

I noticed that the Arboretum runic gate trick says to use a triple bomb jump. Is it supposed to be possible to use a double bomb jump? Because I went at it this way in my previous run, believing it was all that was necessary, and it worked. The gate seemed a little "sticky" and I was getting an ever-so-slightly higher DBJ than the usual. Placement of the bombs and location along the gate were also important.

Sorry if this is known already, and since it seems pretty obvious, I'm guessing it is. I just haven't seen it clarified anywhere, and the vids on the main site still say to use a TBJ. Since I can't do TBJs, it would have been pretty annoying if it were actually necessary :)

Of course it's not necessary to TBJ; you just did it with a DBJ. But yes, a DBJ seems to be the preferred method by most players these days (not a single TBJ is used in current Prime speed runs iirc), as it's faster and actually easier for most. A 3BJ will also work.

The site should probably be updated to reflect this. I'm sure nate will get around to it someday. ^_^

OK, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't either crazy, or had done something unique ;) And yeah, it was *not* easy to get over using a DBJ. The videos on the site here look almost effortless so I assume when you're good at those tricks, it is pretty easy :) Thanks for the clarification, at any rate.

Like most other tricks, it's only easy after lots of practice.

Quazar:  I always use a DBJ on the runic gate.  Tip:  Slam the stick forward at the top to get over easier/faster.

Yeah, I've found two tricks
The first, is to get easier and faster than hosted in the website, the missile expansion at the Frigate Crash Site.
Then I've found a trick to get to the top of the Ruined Courtyard room without filling it ^^
I hope I found somethin'
(I edit when the video are on youtube)

the first one :
Frigate Crash Site - Missile expansion

And the second one :
Reach quickly the top of the room
(I was trying some things before jumping to the highest ledge)
Nice find in ruined courtyard. This way seems a little faster than the way I'm using atm.

Youhou, I've found something ^^
Congrats  Very Happy
However, the fact that it is new to me doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't already known. I'm quite a rookie here. Anyway, good job for finding it on your own.
