I thought she was given one third Chozo blood when the Chozo took her in, I dont remember why but I assume it was just to make her stronger and smarter and stuff. Other than that one third of her blood she's human, until Fusion.

If her DNA wasn't mostly Chozo, she would have died on Zebes years ago. And Samus doesn't have any super-human abilities, all her equipement is for the suit. Without that armor, she's just a normal girl.
