Speaking of that, at the end of Corruption, after Phaaze goes KABLOOEY!, you still see Samus with the Hyper Beam active. It could be completely unrelated to story, but what if Samus retained the Hyper Beam and its Phazon ammo?

First, it's more than proved that Dark Samus doesn't need a ship to travel through space...
She got from Tallon IV to Aether without one.

Also, about the un-corruption, If I am not mistaken, it is said by either admiral dane or one of the ship's crew members

Ridley has been blown up in a multiple video games in multiple variations. He's been infected twice and has either fallen to pieces or been blown up by an overload of phazon. And you don't think Rundas could come back from being impaled by a giant spear of ice? Not to mention that Dark Samus is destroyed so maybe the hunters she absorbed could come back.

i think DS reforming at the end of mp2 was possible because the source of her power was still around (phaaze) and that's why she never dies until the end of mp3. she can't die as long as the planet exists.

But we have no idea if that was the only source of phazon. It was hinted that there might be other sources.
