New hotel clerk staff + cash paying customers = a big mess. d'oh!

A new guy we have working here -- somewhere he got a number that was too high - and that was what he posted as a payment on the accounts of the 3 cash customers he had checked in. It took me a while but I figured it all out and fixed everything... As for his atrocious towel/laundry folding... That's another matter I'll have to address with him tomorrow. I figure I better get here at least 30 minutes early. Brick wall

In other news... I guess I've started to drink coffee. I've never really done that before, mainly because I don't like anything too hot, and I don't (or didn't?) like the taste... But I did like the taste of coffee flavored candy... So if I do drink it I put in 3 or 4 packets of sugar and some dairy creamer.... And yesterday morning I made a drink with instant coffee, vanilla ice cream, and caramel syrup. Razz

And as much of it as I drank - I figure that was the equivalent of 3 cups of coffee. I didn't get to sleep (during the day) until past 3 PM. aiwebs_007

That's a mean thing to do to myself - especially when I have to be up in another 7 hours...

And my foot was giving me a lot of trouble... That made it even harder to get to sleep. Crying or Very sad

Damn, life without running water sucks. Earlier today, some 54-year-old pipe in some heavily wooded area in Dundalk, Maryland broke and left 100,000+ customers (including myself) without water. Now the local news are saying that the problem won't be solved until tomorrow. What a bummer...

Better idea: Gatorade is actually hydrating (as opposed to soda which actually dehydrates you), and lemon-lime flavor looks like pee already. So, drink, piss, and resell for PROFIT!

So sick.... It's awful.... still...alive...

The first 36 hours were sheer hell. Thank god that there's a hot-tub in this place. I must have stayed in it for 2/3 of the time with the heat turned up real high because it was the only thing that made the muscle spasms stop. I turned into a fucking prune! Then after I had been out for a number or hours I realized that I had nothing to eat and almost nothing to drink the entire time and was dehydrated as hell. It wasn't easy, but I managed to make myself some soup and a sandwich and am starting to feel a little better. The good news is - I'm actually starting to feel better alot earlier than I thought I would !! I still feel like complete shit, but I can sleep and force food down at least. I'm hoping that 2 more weeks and I'll feel normal again - but I may be being too optimistic by wishing that. Last time I did this I still felt like shit after 3 months! The only thing that ended that 3 months of agony was me getting back on the wagon. I really don't want to do that again, especially after I got a call from my 7 year old niece yesterday and she told me how much she loved and missed me. It really broke my heart and made me feel selfish as hell. I'm hangin in there - keep thinking of me !

Yeah don't forget to drink a LOT of water when you're in a hot tub, it gets you dehydrated pretty fast.
