Omigosh - I feel like I'm gonna have a panic attack. The day of doom is dawning, the hour is at hand. I got one more big bump left and that's it. I gotta save it until morning, yet I'm so freaked out that I don't know if I will be able to sleep. I HAVE to sleep though, otherwise I'm gonna end up doing that bump and wake up with nothing - which is like death. I gotta just keep telling myself that I'm doing the right thing and take it one hour at a time. Hell, I'll take it one minute at a time if I have to. I hate this. I'm so scared !!
Is there any way to convert an .smv into a .avi without playing the smv on my emulator and recording an avi?
It's not possible. The .smv is simply a log of button presses on certain frames, which can only be read by the emulator, and doesn't really store any images as such. That's why they're so small. If you suffer from the lag thing while recording, this is perfectly normal. Usually when I create videos, I get very little sound, and frames skipped here and there, but the video itself turns out normal.
The process of replaying the .smv, and recording the replay as an .avi file is choppy, with garbled sound. Once the process is complete, and you have your .avi, it plays exactly as it should.
Yes, that's perfectly normal, and does it on almost every video I've recorded.
On a similar note, if you're creating it with Movie Maker, allowing Media Player to automatically play it when it's done can lead to some (cool, but) incorrect colouring, so be sure to test it with a better player.
Reminds me of when I once caught some cold-like virus that had me down for a week-and-a-half. I probably lost like 3 pounds from all of that. It was awful...
