So in working in areas where you must stick to whole numbers( which happens more than you think) , one ends up without fractions--- the above example is sufficient, as there are ~4~ numbers on either side of the two numbers, 5 and 6, which means those two are in the center. The mean of the two is 5.5. Since we cannot use fractions as such in the whole number understanding, one (traditionally) rounds off. Why not 5 in the center?
I think the problem is not that you're saying 6 is the "center" of a string of numbers (even though it's not), but more that your arguments just doesn't have a point. What "area" would one be "working in" that they would care what the center of 1 - 10 is? 0 - 9 would be more plausible, but I still can't really think of some deep meaning to either sequence's center. At any rate, such an "area" would likely deal with some kind of mathematics, probably statistics, and therefore would, yes, want to take into account the exact value of the number, not round it. Rounding generally just causes problems in such "areas" of work.

It works in the other direction too. I figured out a proof of it but I lost it. I could probably figure it out again, but it was a lot of work and I don't have as much free time as I did in high school.

Judging by the last digits alone, 8*7 ends in 6, 6*5 ends in 0, 5*4 ends in 0, 3*2 ends in 6. Right off the bat, I notice 13*2 is 26, and 124*3 is 372.
Also, it should be noted that no other number is any closer to infinity than Six, so it should be recognized as a perfect number. :^O
Also Fives has five letters, and is better because it's plural. Also One has one term. Also One Hundred has both three digits and three syllables. Also, Six is terrified of Seven. Also, the genetic trait of having six fingers per hand is dominant in the human species. And Hot-dog buns come in packages of Six. As do many soda cans and beer bottles. I can eat Six slices of pizza, size Large. And every single multiple of Six has a factor of Six. Six has three letters, three is half of Six, and Six has half of the letters as it is valued. And Six is like totally rad.

Yeah, that could be.. not what i meant though. But i think it might be profane to show one of my cards now, as i imagine any reading this thread who has studied even a bit of the not-commonly-known teachings i was alluding to would have called me on it or added something.

You prolbably have no idea that i was going on at length about the numbers as the ancient egyptians and hebrews understood them, although millions today still put the approaches to use (millions AIN't a LOT). As i said, zero was later conceived, and mayans get the most credit for it. Butfor yet another angle on this frenzied numberfest here, it has been shown (but not in public school) that zero is sort of ludicrous when referred to as a number. It's already extremely obvious where you're coming from. Don't bother. You might try spelling people's usernames correctly, too.
