I manage operations for a computational biology lab. (Looking at my previous post I may have implied that I was attending GDC, but I'm not, just the concert.)

OIC. I thought you might have been involved, to some extent, with teh Games.
My 3D Modeling professor is going to GDC this year, which means he won't be in class when I come back from my Spring Break two weeks from now. He used to be in the gaming industry a few years back if I remember, but as far as I know he's going as a visitor. (Didn't exactly tell us WHY he's going as far as I know, just that he IS going.)
And who knows: A few years from now I could be the one going to GDC.
I'm going to completely change the subject. Call me reckless.
Anyway, I was watching the In The End video for the 50 millionth time when it occured to me: the flying whale looks strikingly similar to the Wind Fish from Link's Awakening.
"In the end it doesn't even matter." Anyway yea knowing them, it's probably not a coincidence. A lot of their art stuff comes from a Japanese Animeish influence if I recall, wouldn't surprise me if video games were included in that as well.
