Nice. I've been waiting for a long time to see one of these runs.

I woulda thought it'd be quite obvious that everyone would want to see something insanely silly like this.  That may be just me though.  >.>

Or maybe everyone who wanted to see it assumed someone else had already requested it.  :?

cool, they're still working! but that doesn't matter anymore  . For those who had watched it, enjoy it again, and for those who haven't, you can enjoy it now without relying on emulator quality gunship.

Cool! But one question: Why not on the console? Did you use save states or something to make this easier? Or just the accuracy of the keyboard? :P

when it was recorded, playing on an emulator was a lot more common.

Why did you bother with Spore Spawn at all?

just wanted people to watch it as a normal 14% walkthru, without doing mockballs (even tho I don't remember if I did some in that run) or any other trick I do for speed runs other than just the ones required for the 14% run.

it's been 2 years since I recorded that... yet it seems like yesterday.

You mockballed for the Ice Beam... :P

You(ekard) try to get the Ice beam without mockball or speed booster.

Sorry to bump this thread, since it's kinda old, but...is there anyway I can get ahold of the ZSnes zmv files for this run? I know they have to exist somewhere. You see, I'm on 56k and I really REALLY don't feel like downloading multiple files that are well over 20 megs in size, and 20 megs is where I draw the line when it comes to downloads.
Sorry to anyone who thinks I sound like a putz but I'd really like to see this run.

Lol... the grass is always greener...

And I don't know where to get it, but I'm here for the Super Official Mod Duty of saying not to worry, you really, truly, cannot bump a sticky.

It's not a sticky... it's an announcement!

I _think_ you can get the 14% zmv's here: http://www.geocities.com/smokeysmr/

Sexcellent, now that I've seen Smokey's 14% run (damn good run at that, I liked the tricks I saw, like the bomb jumping over the moat near the Wrecked Ship) I shall now see his nbmb run :)

Is 14% the lowest possible percent for SM?

Yep.  Check out Kejardon's 14%/15% walkthrough on GameFAQs for the details.

I know that it's very late but I've just watched this run. It was a awesome run!

I didn't know that speed booster was skippable and skipping hi-jump is harder than what I thought.

I have just a question, why did Smokey grab 3 e-tanks?

3 e-tanks are required to survive mother brain's blast at the end...so, 3 e-tanks is the absolute minimum to complete the game.
