I'd imagine not... considering Cider is a Work In Progress as of like 2008.
Where do I go immediately after I get springball? I've been searching around for hours

So what's up?

So I started a Metroid prime 22% run 2 months ago, and it essentially got me back into speed running. I'm sure you've heard my return many times before, but here is some proof...

Segment 1:
The SJ First of Soup.

Segment 2: Ridiculous. I hate SS otherwise I would have redone it. Simply happy with at least 1 double charge shot.

Segment 3: Torizo is no big deal after I discovered how to abuse him.

Segment 4: Fairly perfect. At that tail end of climbing the shaft I had a little trouble, but nothing major.

Segment 5: So after working on this segment for what feels like FOREVER, I put my hands up and just let it go. I so terribly wanted at least a 4:15 on this segment, but I'm just keeping the mistakes that I've made and moving on.

I'm calling in all forces here for Kraid. What would be a good strategy for him? I refill to my 3 supers since the bug outside of the room drops them frequently and what not. However, I'm limited in missile count, and when the battle starts, I simply have to jump around a lot to try and refill and stuff. Help?

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Can't say I've played enough of Soup to know whether it's possible, but when fighting Kraid, you can shoot his face, and then get two charged shots in before he opens and closes his mouth.  Providing he's vulnerable to normal weapons fire in this hack, it'd probably be quicker than missile farming.

Yeah, i'm thinking that's probably the best approach now...

I'm double posting because I couldn't find if I could attach files in an edited post...

Segment 6:
Kraid was meh. I just tried to practice on not missing as many shots as possible. This was the best one I had gotten so far so I figured I should keep it.

Segment 7:
This is one of the very few times where arm pumping has an apparent use. The when I unmorph after rolling through the tunnel in the room after the save point, I shoot, and arm pump fast enough so that I reach the scroll point where the shot reachs the door to open it.

4 Mistakes:
The super missile pick up.
The jump after super missile pick up.
Falling into the lava before HJ.
And jumping slightly too high before shooting the missile door.

P.S. this 2 min segment took almost an hour.

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Just in case you haven't played Cardweaver's hacks, let me explain: Try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, try, fail.

The trick is to create a hack that makes you do that while still being really fun to play.  All of Cardweaver's hacks are generally well regarded.

Just reconfirming that I'm not dead nor ended my progress on the speed run.

Segment 8:
This is where all my previous attempts ended, and after enough frustration of doing and redoing, I just raised the white flag. I so terribly wish I could cut down 5 seconds, but after redoing for a week, this tricks segment became too much for me.

Also, here is a sneaky little idea for segment 9 :D.

P.S.
I forgot to mention that I redid Segments 4 and 5 before I proceeded to the Kraid segment for item collection that for whatever reason I missed. I added them onto this post to for clarification purposes...
HELP PLOX! my game crashes when I go through the first door. Freezes in transition. What am I doing wrong?
Using Zsnes 1.51 and 1.42, same result. did the renaming of SM.smc to the name of the .ips. tried with an ips patcher. Just cannot get it to work. Using unheadered rom.

Any help would be great!

Not really much else to do if you've done that much already.  Try getting a new ROM (Super Metroid (JU) [!]), and try snes9x to see if it errors in the same way.

If anyone is still interested...

Segment 11 isn't as bad as it seems. Just some awkward pausing and a couple seconds lost near the end because I was thinking a little too much.
