This is the first time I've tried out a hack and I patched it successfully (I think). The game started fine, I started a new game, saw that I was on Zebes, saw my place on the map but then after I got through those screens its just a black screen. Any thoughts on how it could have gone wrong? I am using Snes9x v1.52. Thanks for the help.
Edit: Downloaded the JU unheadered and it works now. Sorry for having little no no idea what I am doing.
Edit 2: Just got the speedbooster, really fun hack so far. Haven't had to use slowdown yet although it took me probably over 100 tries to makes the Kraid jump and the second hell run took me forever. Other than those two things though the difficulty is pretty much exactly where I would want it to be. Thanks a lot, hope the other hacks I eventually play are as fun as this.

Well at this point I have supers and have managed everything without slowdown so far. I've used it to practice a few things (gray brinstar shaft/red brinstar shaft). Basically I wanted something that was really hard but this one doesn't require the short charge whereas Impossible said it did (although I had to learn short charge to get out of gray brinstar). I think I'm going to try cliffhanger next, redesign turned me off when I read that wall jumping can't be done everywhere :)
