Also, are you making sure that you are using a headered/unheadered rom for your headered/unheadered patch?

Sorry, but idk how to check if a ROM is headered or not. (same for IPS patches.)

UNheadered rom is 3072KB and headered is 3073KB. Not sure if there is a difference in the size of the IPS patch.

Alright well my ROM is unheadered so I guess I'll try a headered ROM if I can find one.

EDIT: *sighs* no luck.

guys thanx 4 the advice but i still can't seem to pull it off so instead i found another shitty way to bypass it. Its crazy but its worth it lol.

If I remember correctly (which I may very well not) then you should have about

3

etanks on easy and two less on hard. I only ever did it on easy, and that was still incredibly hard for me. If you still have trouble, then try

pause screen trick at energy station.

I was going to use the pause screen trick, but when I reached the hell run I had no E-tanks, so just for shits and giggles I attempted to TAS it, I only made it to the end of the first room lol. I'll go back later and try to find an E-tank or two.

I don't think it's possible with no etanks. I know I had trouble with 2 or 3 on easy, but that was when I had no experience with hell's runs. Even with the extra etanks, I still had to abuse pause screen right at the end.

Edit: Does anyone know/remember what item is behind hell's run?

I think CH is an amazing hack, but I really hate that part, too. I hate it so much that I consider it to be a flaw, a poor design choice.
