When he opens his mouth, just pop a couple of missles (or charged shots, I guess) in there. Make sure you do as many as possible, as quickly as possible, so he doesn't have much room to move back up.

I know how to do it, its just that i cant! For some reason he pushes me too far back! Does this mean Im rubbish at super metroid?

Just work on your technique some more, once you get it, he's easy.

EDIT: If you don't, It'd be a good Idea to get it. It is very effective against him.

Leave Norfair. Go through the 3 rooms of Maridia. In the room where you re-enter Brinstar, there is a secret passagenear the door on the left end of the room. go up there.

Thanks, oh and by the way, i finished metroid 2 just now! Thanks for your help though throughout both of the games, i couldnt have done metroid 2 without you :P :P

Well ive beaten corcmire, but now im having trouble on...well.....that boss on the wrecked ship. Phantoon or something? Well i can get his health all the way down (i can etll because he goes bright red) and the attack that i cant avoid and which keeps killing me is where he fires aload of blue, urm, things in a sort of circle away from him. They cover the whole screen and i can never shoot them. Any help please, because im too rubbish at metroid games to go without any help!

Charge your beam, and do spin jumps to jump right trough them. (Psuedo-screwattack)

I use the charge beam only. No missiles.

I done have the screw attack or the wave beam, i dont have any trouble hurting him, I just use super missles.

Well i beat corcmire without spazer, so hopefully i can do this without wave beam, just maybe. Its just those flickerbatin' blue blobs!

You can get wave after the Grappling beam. If you do a spin jump while your beam is charged, you'll go right through them.
