Edit: I deleted the attachments cause they were old version and I can't seem to upload new ones by editing this post, so the fixed, most recent version is 1.06 on page 7.

I imagine most of you know what this is, but a quick recap anyway.

AngryFireChozo is a hack I started April 2nd as an outlet for level design, and with the accidental creation of a glitch in the physics system. I originally intended it to be a few room hack, but I just never quit building it. After about a week, I decided to make it to be quite a nice size for a "minihack", and started on a building spree.

As it was built in such a rushed manner, I didn't have much time to test it completely, so there may be game-breaking sequence breaks or other flaws that I haven't discovered. I believe I went over every roomstate for problems that way, but it's hardly recieved a proper beta-testing. I'll do my best to fix any major issues as they come up.

Being rough and unpolished, it's difficult, especially in the exploration department. A large part of the world is hidden, and the enemies themselves are tough (with the big boss being insane). You also will have to figure out several things involving the physics, and until you learn how to work them, things will seem slow.

Unless I miscounted, 100% is the max attainable. It can be completed with far less, but aforementioned big boss will probably trash you if you try to run through with as little item collection as possible.

No saves except the ship, so I'm afraid you'll have to use savestates.

Have fun!

Edit #1: Fixed a potential permastuck and added a patch for headered.
Edit #2: Fixed a problem where lacking speedbooster in a certain area can get you stuck.
Ver. 1.02 Fixed the possibility of getting stuck at a certain boss without charge. Major thanks to Crys and Dmantra for bringing some major problems to my attention.
Ver. 1.03 And it only got worse... Found some doors I missed in a hidden path that I forgot to take out, that don't really connect up to anything. Also fixed a door that was connected to the wrong room. With this, I think things are fairly stable now.
Edit again: sigh... there's an item you use speedbooster to aquire that I forgot to make a non-respawning block, so it respawns and blocks people in. Fixed and rehosted the patch, but sorry for all the inconviences.
Ver. 1.04. Fixes a few tiling errors and lets you go back into a large hidden path that you might not have fully explored the first time through.
Ver. 1.05 Fixes an OOB above bombs and makes the way out of a certain area much easier to find.
Ver. 1.06 Fixes what 1.04 didn't, due to my stupidity. You can now go back through the ice area.

Watch out, you get stuck here

and here

What'd you say?
Hell yeah! Gratz on making your dead-line.
Fixing the first one.

Second one: I'm able to simply demorph and fall through in that position.
Is it done enough to be fully playable, or should I wait until further releases to actually play it?
Edit: bah, just realized there's a serious permastuck situation that can be gotten into if someone misses speedbooster. This is why I wish I had time to have people beta-test this. It seems that's what everyone is now :P

Breathe in the Future, Breathe out the Past
Progressing nicely thus far. What a great way to start my birthday, a new hack!

Few permastuck situations but since it's a savestate hack, these can be avoided. My god, do I ever love the interesting physics! Getting the hang of it.

found bombs, and the spazer hidden inside the grey block early
and another hidden missle here

What'd you say?
Charge beam was fun.
Used TAS to super short charge over there.  grin new

But now I believe I'm stuck farming that damn green bug thing for missiles since I can't really go anywhere with empty tanks.

Going to school, peace.

Oh! And happy b-day DMantra!
Samus...? Is that you?
I've been playing this for 30 seconds now, and i'm already amazed at the physics. Great, awesome, good and so on job!
Green-Kirby, ROAR!
Did just beat it, I did like some parts but not all parts. :<
Any how:

I will get back to more feedback at a later time or via IRC. :3
How do I get out of here?
Upmost screen you can scroll to, bomb on the opposite side of the super missile and go into the wall. Be prepared.
I've got no idea how to get out of this room.  I killed both enemies at the upper half of this room, but neither the door nearby those enemies nor the one in the pic opened.  Both are still gray as heck.

I think I'm stuck...

After I get out of wrecked ship (the "Main Street") I go down and back to and get a reserve tank.  There was a speed block to get into that space...
But it looks like there's no way out.

I may be officially done but I feel like searching through this hack a lot more.  There's so much that I missed and I've never seen either of those two rooms above.  Lots of fun DSO, I'll get back to you on the final thoughts once I've had the time to run around some more.
I'm sorry Gaius. That's the exact problem I fixed in the latest edit... I hope you have a savestate nearby.

Anima:
You go out through the floordoor. You can boostball through with the right timing.
I'm stuck in the same room as Anima Zero...also, BRILLIANT on how to get through those spikes in the water you mentioned in your Discussion thread without being damaged....absolutely brilliant!

This was quite a blast to play.  The physics were wacky and fun to get used to, the escape had me saying fun stuff, and it was fun finding new passages and trying to figure out how to advance in some cases.  Nice job.  Might even go back to it later on and see if I can find anything new.

This post is just before I finally download the patch.

Seeing the screenshots just makes me want to play this all the more and people keep mentioning the physics being different which makes me all the more curious.  Ha ha, I even have the advantage us late downloaders seem to get: A more polished hack  grin new Razz. (no offense to anyone)

Now onto the hack!!

By the way, happy birthday DMantra!!  Hopefully you're not as old as you might look or feel....  laugh new laugh new
I can't get past the mockball segment at the very beginning. Cool

Try to beat that one guys.
Mockball isn't even a required trick >_>
Dunno. I even abused the glitched tiles and couldn't get through.

8 e-tanks, 1 reserve, 80 missiles, 30 supers, 10 power bombs, spazer, plasma, no charge beam :(
Maybe I'll play it again some time to look for some of the stuff I missed (this was version 1.03 btw)

All those new palettes and FX effects really gives this hack a big lift, and there's some innovative level design as well. One of the best looking of the currently released hacks, even if it is a bit unpolished as you say. The ideas are there. I like the level of difficulty, no save state abuse required. It could have been console friendly if you had put in some save stations.

The new physics were really fun, which was a relief. Except against ridley (had to find a new strategy). Flying around in ball form was very weird (been playing around a bit with that). Those recharge stations are a very useful device in designing a hack, they would solve a lot of problems if they were present in other hacks so they player won't be forced to go back only to get enough supplies. There was no need to put a timer at the end, but I suppose it was a pretty long countdown (made it to the ship on my first try).
