I was watching the vid on early wrecked ship and I was intrigued by something. The short charge tech that is used to get across the lake could be used to get across the rest of the way.
There are two ways that you can do this easier:
Do the short charge but instead of going through the door, shine across the lake. Open the door and go all the way to the edge. now short charge going through the door. At the last second on the huge area before the ship you can charge, go back to the highest point on that area and shine across to the ship.
The other way you could try this is to:
Shine across the lake as described above, go through the door and all the way to the waters edge. At this spot there is a small slope that you can stand on. Stay on the extreme edge. Short charge and you can store it just before hitting the door. Then just shine across. I will try to make a vid of this if I get the chance. If anyone else can first ,thankyou.

Sorry, I'm a bit messy with emulators so It took me a number of tried to do it. the second try after I go into the lake room is the time I get it accross the lake.
A few tries in the next room I make it the rest of the way across.
