Having watched all the Super Metroid movies at metroid2002.com, I've never seen anyone use this tactic before.

To sum it up, I can get the Power Bombs in Brinstar right after I get the charge beam, prior to Kraid, Spazer, all of that.

I have a movie I can post if this is something people are interested in - it might be known, but useless.  I don't know.

Thanks!

Edit: LOL, wouldn't you know it, I first used this technique back when SM was the new hotness on the SNES, and refrained from trying to tell anyone about it until today, then 30 minutes after I post, I see it used in a movie (which I'd never seen before)!  Nevermind!

Yeah, it's been known for pretty much forever, but it was never put on M2K2 until very recently, probably because it was only recenty that it was discovered to likely be helpful in a speedrun.

Breathe in the Future, Breathe out the Past
I remember when I was young (the snes days), I realized it could be done if those guys were out of the way, and supers did the trick. Very easy sequence break. Saving Kraid for last is fun too, everything looks so retarded when you get up close and personal with that boss, all maxed out.

Ready to internet!
is that in the red brinstar area? i usually get that if i'm on a run. i usually have 10 super missiles, 35 (i think) missiles, charge beam and 10 power bombs before going further into brinstar

Actually, you can get Spazer before doing this by using a wall jump.  That is the better thing to do.
