Using the Volt Driver on Cretaphids, other Hunters, and Guardians is rape, it takes them out incredibly quickly. If the Guardian has a Volt Driver though, use the Battlehammer.

In Incubation Vaults 01 and 02, you can use the tank in the room to make a tricky jump back up to the second floor. I'll get video of it later.

In Ice Hive, after getting the third artifact then going through the tunnel to get to the portal that leads to the Hunter Gunship, you can use the Ice near the wall to jump up to the Portal to the Boss.

Meh... I tried that (on a Guardian) and it didn't seem to help much. Missles were faster, although much more limited in ammo.

EDIT: The Battlehammer though... hell yeah.

The Voltdriver's rate of fire is what makes them die easily quickly, but they tend to jump around a lot making them hard to hit. Boost Balling and Morph Ball Bombs kinda work, but aren't so great.

Cretaphids are weak against the color of "plasma laser" they shoot out, so green = Battlehammer and so forth. The Slenches are weak against the weapons you use to take out the tenticles with.

Barbed War Wasps are one-time scans, since they don't appear anywhere else other than the Ice Hive in Arcterra. The Blue Barbed War Wasps might be one-time too, but I don't know if hives return...

There was another trick I found out, but I can't remember it.

Quote from primetime:
You can't get the artifact in Alino's perch by doing tha cuz there's a barrier around the artifact and the key to open the barrier is behind another white barrier (on the side you'd normally come through).  :(

That's not strictly true, once you've unlocked the door using the scan point, you can reach the door without ever using the 2 back jump pads. If you jump onto where the pad is (while it's not activated), then jump over to the ledge near the door, DBJ up to the ledge to your left. Then turn to face the door, DBJ up towards the door and unmorph while holding UP.

You'll catch the ledge, now simply walk left, then hold up to move towards the door.  8-) Now collect the artifact without ever using the far side jump pads.

In Pistol Cave, you can do a DBJ from the first step to the key, saving you having to bomb jump all the way up and move around. Saves a few seconds at least. :)

I think he meant getting the artifact by entering the room it's in the back way, so you don't have to have the grenades.

I duno if this is a speed trick but if there are three hunters on a planet and you are about to fight a boss than just land and lanuch. It will take about 10 seconds or less. After there usually wil be one or no hunters on the planet...saves time fighting stupid hunters while trying to escape.

Edit:

While fighting eye ball V3 when he does a chage attack just turn intio morph ball. If you are in morph ball no matter where you are you are too low for him to hit you.

When fighting pole V4 there is a ledge you can staying right of the door. This spot blocks any green torpedo attacks.

they are blu-ish wasps, which i think can freeze you, cant really remember.

Oh, and i think Mr Potter found this, but i tried the thing where you can walk off a ledge and still have the ability to jump, which in my words i call it the "ledge jump", i was able to reach a platform with a missile expansion, and i think this was on the lava planet, where you first fight spire, but dont know if it is a sequence break. but still, it was preety cool

I think that's mentioned in the Instruction Booklet.

Quote from Mr Potter:
It is reasonable that this could work with normal walls that don't lead to a secret world. If we could pop through the wall near the portal, or find a secret world in IC03, we could skip the Shock Coil. We would need it for getting to the portal and also getting out, so a secret world would need to have entrances on both sides.

Correct me if im wrong, but dont you fall infinitely if you enter a secret world, even if you're not in morph ball? Thats what I've heard...

i think i found a speed trick to getting the Judicator beam earlier/faster. it takes place in the Ice hive, where you normally collect it. So:

there is a wall, that is next to the platform on the top where the beam is, it is the left hand-one, where there is a broken boulder,  put your face up to it, and morph, now you must make sure that the morph ball is on the VERY edge of the wall, so, half the ball is on one side, the other facing out. Do a dbj, and when you lay the 2 bombs, when you land, move the ball slitghly to the left, if you stay in the same spot, you will fall off the side, and land on the ice. When youre back down, move to the same spot you were in, and when the bombs blow you in the air, hit the pad/stylus to the right, then up, and immediatly unmorph, then if you did it right, you will blow up in the air, and land on the platform, where the beam is.

this is kinda pointless, but it saves you about 30-35 secs. if you want a vid of it, i can record it.

edit: it takes place in Arcterra, if you didnt know. but anyway, its a little hard to do, you must make sure you are on the very edge, you'll see if you are if the ball freezes in place. then just do the dbj, and rest

i havent gotten in any SW yet, but maybe if you morph, you WOULDNT die since any morph will prevent you from getting damaged by falling high enough.

edit: crud, i cant get the camera in the right spot, how do i record it with only the top screen showing?

Yeah, but you end up falling of the cliff, not getting fall damage.

oh yea. well, i dont know, i doubt we'll be using SW's to skip items. but hey, i havent even got in one yet so, i dont know.

found another speed trick:

i have found a way to get the shock coil early. when you're in the room with the big boulder thing, walk up to the bridge that is on the ceiling, and morph. Once you position yourself on the side of the bridge, do a dbj, when you unmorph, hit the pad/stylus to the left, so you land on the bridge. then aquirre the shock coil. i dont know if this trick will work (because i think you need to activate the battle inorder to create a portal), but i will test it out.

this trick can save you probably a minute and a half, pretty pointless, but it saves you the trouble of fighting those annoying robot things

I think you have to fight the Gaurdians anyway to get an artifact but I could be wrong.
