It's quite hard, I've only done it twice in SS runs. The two hard parts about it is to turn around when taking the bomb (the timing must be near perfect) and when to jump to the door (also pretty tight timing) between that you just go nuts on L,R and then try to turn around once inside the door to exit quicker (It can be done turning around there but it's really really hard.)

If you want it in a SS run you'll need to give it a lot of practice.

Can you made video about this? Nate can put that in mainpage later. There is no Torizo skip video yet.

I really can guess it is very precise. I test once arm pumping and timing how much faster it is than regular run. It save almost 0.20 seconds per in 7 seconds corridor. My opinion it is very little amount time, probably i doing something wrong.

This surprised me when Pj.man said you need arm pumping when you skip Torizo on PAL versio. Arm pumping is very uneffective or i doing that something wrong.

I can still go practice that torizo skip. Probably best place is save in Crateria before Torizo and try that over again. I don,t have emulator right now.

Still it is bit weird, because arm pumping don,t really save any time. Know anybody how much arm pumping is faster than regular run speed? And i talking about PAL versio.

Well aiming down and releasing again puts you a total of 2 pixels further ahead, which while not being of much use in a unassisted run is crucial it the Torizo skip, the faster you press L,R the bigger the chance to get out is.

To the Torizo skip?

Something like: The bomb Torizo can be skipped in the European (PAL) version of the game. First of all you must turn around as shown when collecting the bombs, the timing is very precise. When running towards the door use the armpump technique. Jump for the door as late as possible and just when you start touching the gray area of the door press right to exit quicker.

Dunno kind of sucky explanation but that's the general idea.

How about:

The Bomb Torizo can only be skipped on the PAL version of the game.
You have to run towards the bombs and then turn around at the earliest possible point whilst still picking up the bombs, the timing is very precise.
When running towards the door, you have to rapidly tap L or R (atleast 5 times) and jump at the latest possible point without hitting the wall. Turning around just as you reach the door can help exit quicker

Though you can actually do it with only 1 armpump (probably 0 under perfect TAS conditions)

I've really been waiting for this ever since it was announced. I think it's cool how you have all the up-to-date techniques and skips (like gravity suit). I am wondering why you don't have skipping the varia suit though... Shouldn't the Ridley battle be under a skipping the varia suit category? Well, the varialess magmoor run is under other in the MP section, so maybe not...

I guess that there is not a varialess part because there is not any specific trick or weird glitch room strategy you have to do, just be fast as hell. There should only be need for maybe a text section that explains that varia is skipable.

I'd assume we would want the videos to be as easy as possible for people to understand/execute. Seeing as I'm not entirely sure what's going on in the snail climb video (plus it would seem extremely strange to the uneducated), and the draygon video is from that stupid 100% TAS, neither video fits the requirements.

And they're on youtube, so you would have to make some smvs yourself in the first place.
