skipping_the_gravity_suit_draygon's video seems to be missing ... any idea where that is?
That one was sent to you as two .smvs when I first emailed you. If the .smvs have dissappeared, I could send them again.
Also, it's redundant to have both suitless snail climb (under other) and skipping grav suit maridia iii, as they both show the same thing, but the one under other requires grapple beam.
Wow. that's a huge update. Nice work, BlueGlass. =)
EDIT: Concerning the Arm Pumping description, I could be wrong, but isn't it the shifting to a "normal" arm cannon position from a diagonal that causes Samus to move one pixel forward?

Aiming diagonally AND switching back to aiming forward both shift Samus forward a pixel.
Pressing the run button only when Samus's fron foot hits the ground allows for the speedbooster to be charged in a much smaller space.
Also "speed booster" is spelled as two separate words everywhere else and one word here (it's two words in the sidebar anyway). The wording of the description also seems a little weird. :\
EDIT: what's the difference between short charge and quick charge? >_>

ahh, so that's where it was. Speed Tricks: Glitch Through Zebetites and Skipping the Gravity Suit: Draygon should have both their videos up now. i also nuked the other: snail climb page from the sidebar.

Torizo skip is possible on console, but PAL versio only. Cpadolf know better. He is only one here who can apply that on console. He said using that even SS runs.
Arm pumping is weak on PAL versio. and doors open/closed slower on PAL. You not need 30 arm pumping per seconds here. there is different method on PAL, but somebody else can tell that better. I don,t never trying that.
Samus moves more pixels per frame on the PAL version. But all the doors etc. take the same number of frames to close/open. But since PAL has less of a frame rate than NTSC, it appears that Samus is the same speed and the doors are slower
Yes, the Torizo skip can be done on PAL outside TAS conditions. Infact, you only need to hit L/R 5 times to do it
Also, I don't like Maridia VI, all that mochtroid freezing seems all too pointless. I also think that Maridia 1-6 and Draygon could all be on the same page. And Skipping the Speed Boots Crateria, that should have a link to the Early Wrecked Ship Break-In. And the Dragon Grapple Kill could be more like this. And the Marida III could be more like this
Wow, this is a huge update! Thanks to nate and everybody who has contributed to this. The SM section is much more up to date now, and will definitely be of use for future speedrunner. :)
EDIT: what's the difference between short charge and quick charge? >_>
The short charge is really just an elaboration of the quick charge. I think that the quick charge, which is taking a step or two forward before holding in run, takes less time to charge than the short charge. The short charge, however, takes much less distance.
Yeah, a short charge is nothing else than a improved quick charge. It's same quick, just with additional optimizations to cut the running distance to a minimum.
Like PJ referred, that big room in Maridia is too tedious to watch. No offense, but it can be done a lot better even on console. Though doing it his way might seem like some sort of superplay :) (yes I know, 0 re-records and stuff)
It just seems unnatural that other parts are played so well and then that one... It also wastes quite a lot of space.
Also, P.JMan.... could you possibly name your smvs, feels kinda stupid to rename them every single time.
New tricks give me lot motivation try one more speedrun yet in near future. Draygon quick kill and Phantoon 2 round both very amazing tricks ever. Both trick looks like insanely hard. Hopefully i have enought patience managed both tricks.
I can planned try Torizo skip too, but i don,t sure how hard this is.
