I looked through several hundred pages here and couldn't find an answer. This is my first post so sorry if this is an inconvenience.
I want to get Power Bombs before Chozodia.
The only pbs not guarded by pb blocks is the one in the lava to the left of Norfair. If you shinespark down in the lava I don't think
you can spark on the slope so you don't have enough time.
The only other way I could think of was to maybe use one of the fire creatures to lure into the exit hole and around to get enough height.
I havn't tried it yet but I'm pretty sure there is not enough time for such things in the lava. What with losing health and all. I havn't tried in
Easy or Normal yet. >_<
It's been ages and I was just wondering if anyone ever got it.
Just another thought. a frozen enemy wouldn't stop the drop block from re-spawning would it? That could maybe make it faster to get to the block.
Also been thinking about how sometimes if you speedrun off a block and hit down you can still charge a shinespark. I think your gun has to be out facing front and the distance has to be short.
I've only managed to repeat it in Crateria where you shinespark to get the SM early.

I want to shinespark into the back end where mother brain is.
Entering from the start "elevator shaft" doesn't work because of pbs.
I can't get enough time sparking going across where the power grip is. The broken bridge doesn't help.
Going from the right of the powergrip room and going down on the left side and sparking in the "unknown item" room doesn't give me enough time.
Nore does going over the top towards the sm and down the right side.
I need someone to double check these with either tas or actual skill. lol
There is enough room to shinesprite in the water just to the right of the Cratera elevator to Norfair but I move too slow in it until I get the full suit in "mother ship"
Any ideas? I was mainly just wondering what would happen if I did either of these though the pb would be mighty useful.
