I have a serious complex.
Hehe, fair enough.  Maybe that is a little over the top.

lol i plan to do it on normal i just wanted to see my speed on easy.  I think that it's safe to say that it takes longer on normal Eh?

I've thought about it, but I think I've only played on easy once, ever. I don't even remember the differences, but it's probably mere seconds. Don't the bosses have the same amount of health?

There.  About 13 minutes difference for me.  The only major diffs I noticed were that the Metroids seemed to un-freeze faster (but I'm not sure if that's a diff), the Space Pirates seemed faster, the Chozo Ghost was harder, and the black pirates were a little harder.

I know this is pretty bad, but this was both my first hard and 100% run,  so I had little consdiration for time.

Have you checked out the site already? I'm curious if people can get sub hour routes before studying speedruns.

I Speed ran this game intensely before I moved onto super metroid and I was only interested in 100% on hard mode, strangly. I watched the record on youtube by Mark Meisner (I think that was his name) of 58:20 something. After copying the route of that run and training hard using all the tricks he used I was delighted to finally get 1:01:25. I really wanted to break the hour barrier and get a high 59, which I was sure I was on target for, but something must have slipped up a little toward the end to make it a few minutes off. Which gives me even more respect for Mark's time.

Well you never know, when I've finished with super I might get a game boy player and try it again. But Mark's time is so, so good. There's just no errors in it, it's flawless from what I remember. I think anybody would have to be a little insane to try and beat that. Unless the best optimised route has changed since that run that I'm not aware of.

[edit] I just looked on SDA and there is no single segment 100% hard mode record. I certainly did a few of those back in the day and got around the time I said above. I think I got 1:03:XX one time. hhmmmm I feel inspired.......

Any objections, bitch?
Well since the UK vs. USA football game was so incredibly boring and I hadn't played ZM in a while, I thought I'd see if I could still beat it before the match was over.

Time Attack on GBA SP

Some really bad mistakes here, Kraid was a bit rubbish, died on the first Chozo ghost attempt (fucker) and I picked up some stuff I didn't need, skipped some stuff that would've probably made me quicker.

It can go as low as 53:xx I reckon, or perhaps 52:xx, but that might require some route changes, less saves, and a lot more optimization. My current run can get 54:3x if I try (I am rusty currently), but after some testing on a newer save I have been able to shed roughly 10 seconds or so up to Kraid.

I also recently got 34:49 on an any% ss, but it really shows how rusty I am. I am sure that my old ss was around 31 minutes.

Nice.  Did you use the same route as the record?

Yeah, for the most part. I changed some room strategies for sure (some of my own, some from watching the hard 100% and some other runs), but it's mostly optimization.

Well wait that's a record right? Are you thinking about recording it? Or still trying to optimize?

Yeah, it beats dragondarch's run by something more than a minute. I will be recording my next attempt at a 100% run probably. I just need to play a little because I've gotten rusty since I haven't played for a while. It depends though, Dragondarch wants to improve his time, and I am not sure if he will be getting a time similar to mine, so maybe I should wait it out. Honestly though I am more interested in the any% run, but the cocoon room is evil and the first segment as a whole is evil in general.

Im not believe Dragondarch back with this soon. Maybe never. He are speedrunning last time 2-3 years ago and MZM is not are top his list. And even DD started speedrun im not believe he can going sub 55 minutes. So don,t be worry about it. I´ll really hope see your recorded run. Congrats sub 55 minutes run. I already counted perfect human skill run would be 55:10 or slightly under. You got beat it and thats truly awesome. Your speedrun skills might be just super fast looking.

I´ll hope see recorded attempts next. If you haved chances it.
