Not unless you count boost-balling all over the place or rapid-fire missiles as speed tricks.

I had seen Zoid doing a natural route once and he used every single trick to quickly get any expansion and avoid all the puzzles. If you did the Retro intended way all throughout the game, that's indeed an excellent time.

I made a run through, 100% in 7:57 I'm doing one on hard mode now. I'm trying to make it 100% in like, 5-6:00. I did it in 7:28 on hard with 99% once. I couldn't find the remaining item.

i'm playing the older games to warm up to Other M's release. i gave mp1 a shot on the wii version.

2:02 45%

it was mostly the natural route up to the early PB in phen's edge. then it was a weird route and i missed the sub by 3 minutes. it is my second fastest run through mp1 after my any% record on GC (so i better improve on GC again later).

The run didn't include secret worlds but that would probably knock off a few more minutes. It was actually quite optimized but the run didn't include sjf, which was found after I completed it iirc. As for submiting a run, nate already said no to wii version runs a while back at sda iirc because there would be less effort put into the run compared to gc version runs.

Well the trilogy version has a good reason to have it's own category doesn't it?

I've often thought about abandoning my PC run to try for a Trilogy run, but the stupid sjf keeps eluding me which keeps ending my runs. (sjf is probably the only reason why I do natural route runs in the first place)

I know that there's more sequence breaks other then sjf, but for some reason I feel that if I can't do sjf then I can't sequence break.
I guess it's just 'cause imo sjf is the easiest sequence break in Prime.

Congrats nice time. Its nice to see you are back run game again. 100% PAL is painful category speedrun.
