Hey, I'm just saying. <_<;;

I didn't know if you would be playing as well as you could or not, usually if you try to play parts slowly, they'll be too slow.

That's why I'll try to make it look as if it was played in realtime, or at least as fast as it's feasible in realtime. No need to remind me of such trivia; after all, I can make pretty much every trick in realtime with help of the sufficient amount of savestates, except those that actually require a controller (such as Torizo skip without having to turn around at the door: it's impossible to arm pump fast enough on the keyboard).

Hmm to be honest i find it much easier to do on keyboard, i accually pump faster then... guess that  is personal and depends on what keyboard you use.

Anyway so this will be like a guideline to what times should be expected by a PAL WR, something like hotarubis 100% testrun. So whatevertime comes out of this about 2-3 minutes more should be accepted by SDA IMO. It should also be interesting to see what time you get by doing the same on NTSC, AI doing all the tricks... i guess 29-30.

You have to remember, Hotarubi's test run was practically flawless (For realtime). I don't think that this one is supposed to be.

Why should'nt it, i think that is the best idea on how to make it.

The second would be a kind of a reference testrun that will contain most of the minor mistakes and inaccuracies (I'm not going to do the run frame by frame so it will be somewhat limited by my playing ability, although I will be using some slowdown to compensate), but will use all the major timesavers Hotarubi's run didn't include, such as the successful WS top deck and pre-Draygon shines, a two-round Phantoon fight (in other words, the things that could have easily gotten him a 00:31 if executed successfully in the current WR run) and obviously the Torizo skip, since it's kind of a "must" trick for the PAL vesion of an SDA-acceptable run. My estimation for the final time would be about 00:33 in this case, and it will be a much better reference. Personally, I'm leaning towards this version.

I don't know if I understood right... Should I get 33 min on PAL, which is a lot better run than the recent WR? In other words I should make a run that even Hotarubi couldn't produce after 2 months or practicing although he's a super player?

Hehe.

Funny. :)

Well it depends, the thing is that it has to look good enough, let's say you record a 00:37 run, then you should upload it and let people watch it, if it seems to be good enough and hard to improov then maybe it will be accepted, if not then a lower time is needed.

EDIT: Tested some things last night as a result of to much time. It appears that some(all?) Events are slower on PAL, i tested for example the pre tourian statue room, on PAL it took ~10 seconds longer until the floor was gone. Also the Baby metroid event took ~3 seconds longer until you could escape.

Basically that means that all of these events could be longer on PAL:

Ceres Ridley appearing
Ceres Ridley Escaping
Gunship Landing
Kraid Rising
Kraid Dieing
Phantoon Appearing
Phantoon Dieing
Torizo walking to Gravity suit
Maridia Tube Blowing up
Botwoon Dieing (For some reason though he takes longer to appear on NTSC)
Dragoyn Appearing
Dragoyn Dieing
Ridley Appearing
Ridley Dieing
Gunship Escape (If the time counts then)
Saving
Recharging

Note that none of the above has been checked by me and are only conclusions based on earlier tests so don't flame me. I don't say that These are facts but rather qualified guesses. But If this is true that probably adds somewear around another minute to a PAL run.

I managed to get :35 on (PAL) segmented.
Is that good enough?

Probably. I haven't started the PAL time demo yet, so I can't say until I see it. Are there any mistakes worth mentioning?

It's not pre-draygon fullroom shine then. Almost the same as if you'd start the shine from that ledge.

You used the Gravity Jump method, right?
