At least 8, though I;m not sure what "Zebetite" and "Silence" sound like (I 'have' Sound in Action, but a Ctrl+F of Nintendo's discography brought this up first).

Anyway, gotta be "Kraid" (odd, in that I don't much care for the giant, bulging monstrosity (these words only in praise of him)).

As had been pointed out/complained on by others, there is a lot of chorus stuff in ZM.  I get it's supposed to be Chozo-y or somethin', but where, just where are those hums and "ahh"s coming from?  Remixes/ReMixes have been pretty good to "Kraid['s Lair]".

The soundtrack has 10 songs (+2 jingles).

I think the FDS version of the game has inferior music. The wavetable channel sounds absolutely dreadful.

Good joy RT-55J, have a cookie. Not many are good, especally compared to some of the other NES games, but Brinstar and Kraid catch my fancy every once and a while.
