Hi all, i introduce myself, im a metroid player, i started playing supermeroid just when it was released on the snes, my skills are not very good tho, i do 1:56 with 100%.

Ok now goes a tip, i dont know if u know this, but u can have 10 powerbombs just before killing kraid. Well im almost sure u all know about this but im just making sure.

And my question is:

There is a red spiked enemy in near wrecked ship that is just above ur head, and he follows u, if u stand still he just dont move, is he only a fun thing, or u can actually make something with it? i hv been intrigued a lot with it.

So thats it, as a way to introduce myself, and congratulate all of you for this great comunity

Hi, and welcome to M2K2!

About the spiked enemy, there's nothing special you can do with it, it's just there for fun. And it's actually possible to have every item in the game except the Varia Suit before fighting Kraid. You just have to get to the Wrecked Ship and get the Gravity Suit.

That one just takes a *lot* more work to get.

But yeah, excluding crazy glitches, you can get every item but the Varia suit and that energy tank before killing Kraid. Including crazy glitches, it's possible to nab that energy tank without killing Kraid. But you can't get the Varia suit without killing Kraid.

No because you need to beat Kraid for the Varia Suit to even appear

You're thinking Phantoon and Gravity Suit. I'd be really amazed if the Varia suit didn't appear while Kraid was alive.

The reason you can't get it is because you need to get past Kraid to get to the door, Kraid's hitbox is extremely impractical to get past, and the outside of the room is basically entirely unfit for traveling through.

Space/time beam might be able to create a door block in Kraid's room that would take you past to the Varia suit, but considering how unpredictable and inconsistent the space/time beam, it probably wouldn't be considered legit even if done on console.
