hmm i find it surprising no one has made a 3DS thread so far. i got one yesterday but with no games.
i'll post my FC for now until more people get a 3DS.

that's the thing, the 3D doesn't interest me at all. It's neat, but overall it doesn't add anything other than blur when moving and slight headaches. Doesn't the 3DS have a motion thing inside of it too? Seems like that'd be totally dumb to put in a system where you can't move it from one specific angle. I'm sure other people have mentioned it before though so I'll just shut up.

oh and for the record I'm only really interested in the new animal crossing.

Yes. Rumor has it that that is an option for controlling Star Fox 64 3D(!). An incredibly stupid option.

the system can be played with 3D disabled. that should make motion stuff easier to do and prevent headaches and blur if you don't like 3D.
i hope any motion things are optional and not mandatory. having the option is always the best.
i wish there was rumble. star fox 64 is going to feel weird without rumble.

tbh, i got the 3DS because of Nintendo's games and not the 3D. my bad eyesight is a no-no for 3D so i won't be using it too much.

Constantly altering your viewpoint seems like it could only be detrimental in a game where you often find many things on screen you have to shoot/not run into.

The whole idea of 3D in a handheld was just a bad idea honestly. They will and first party games are the only ones that will do anything close to good with the gimmick. But given that the DS and Wii have been essentially licenses to print money up to this point with that same issue expecting them to change their approach might be a bit unrealistic.
