what are you using to hack the rom? SMILE? if so what version? if you have 0.50 can you please send it to me? via pm or other means... im stuck with 0.45 :(

Since I have Tile Molester 0.15 and I have fully mastered Row-Interleaving and other kinds of graphic hacking options, could I try to hack some of the game's Graphics?
For rather big changes, I can hack:
-Samus's Ship
-Kraid's Arms
-Crocomire
-Every item
-Spore Spawn
-Botwoon
-Samus's beams (*)
-Explosions
-Samus's death animation sequence
-Fake Kraid
-Metroids (Larva, Normal, Maridia, and The big one)
-Etecoons and Dachora
-Most of the enemies
-Chozo
-Fighter Pirates
-Torizo
-Ridley
-Draygon (*2)
-Sand Chozo (*3)
-Samus's Items names
-Game Font
-Map screen objects
-Noob tube crack and the broken glass pieces

And more, If I find new codecs.

(*) = The beam edits cannot exceed their intial size, so you can forget about "The über giant beam that will kill everything".
Here are some of the stats:
Power beam = One pose, 16x16
Ice Beam = 3 Poses, 16x16
I don't remember the others, but I can check it out. (Right now I'm too lazy :P)

(*2) = Well, Only its Claws, and the whipping thingy, because they're the only parts of Darygon that actually have animated tiles.
The Graphics are scrambled, so I could actually edit Draygon's body itself, if I find it from the depths of the messy graphics.
Same goes for Kraid.

(*3) = Sand Chozo is a funny little fellow. It has only 2 poses. The one when It's untouched, and the one when It's just a pile of sand.
So basically, the game thinks: "When Sand Chozo is touched by Samus, make it transform magically into the sand pile".
So in a nutshell, I only have to do 2 things: Edit the intial pose, and the pose that it will Become after it's touched.

There will, of course be minor problems with the palettes, but that can be fixed with either SMILE, or SABS.

To be honest I would rather like to keep the original graphics for the hack. My purpose is to make it harder without too many graphic manipulations for now also because of the additional bugs that could appear there.

But if you want you can make some changes on the original ROM and post a ips-patch for it somewhere. If the new graphics are good, then maybe I would change my mind later.

I would like to download smile 0.45 too. But unfortunatly the download just gave me the file download.php. Since that file doesn't have any use I simply cant use smile 0.45.

To be honest longer than I thought first :-(

I recently got new ideas and hints and there is still much to edit/test. It will take at least 2 more weeks since I don't have too much time now. My exams start next month and I have to learn for them. Not much time to hack at the moment, but I will do what I can.

Back to the subject, as long as you have an emu, can anyone hack them and change them? Or do you need some sort of special program?

using something like SMILE hacks the rom and u would distrubute it (illegal) so what most people do is use a program called IPSWIN so they can have people Patch the rom themselvs and it becomes legal to distrubute.

The funniest banning I've ever seen was one where the guy couldn't just IP ban, so instead he just hid all the guy's posts to all other users. And the guy never noticed that nobody was actually replying to his posts...
