It looks visually appealing to me, at least on youtube. However the running-animation -speed seems incconsistent. And the action is a bit too fast for a good taste. Thus it seems some action is automated and lacking decent depth. But it can only be better than prime.
Hopefully, we'll have some fast-paced badass action. Speed Booster is great. Hopefully, we'll see some shinespark in action (whether the developers made it so that it consumes HP during transit, we'll find out).
That scene with Mother Brain.... kinda reminds me of what happened in the Sulaco's last scene in Aliens. If only Samus said "Get away from her, you bitch" like Ripley said it (only in that instance, Newt and Bishop didn't die)... would be made of gold, but that's not gonna happen.
And about the controller scheme... it makes me feel like I need to play some Super Paper Mario before this. Living it off old-school. Yup. I'm done saying senseless stuff.
Yeah, I'm hoping that's NOT the case..... and highly doubt it will be.
I think at this point, given that this is a flagship Nintendo title, it's virtually guaranteed that the game will be good. However, we'll see how much it pleases the Metroid fanbase. That's a different story.
If only Samus said "Get away from her, you bitch" like Ripley said it (only in that instance, Newt and Bishop didn't die)
You need to watch Aliens3. Sadness abounds in that movie.
Also, I'm practically sold on the game now. The controls seem to have been implemented well. I just hope the camera works well. That's the only thing now that could make me only rent this instead.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago. That movie was good (despite the most infamous part at the opening when two of our beloved survivors die brutally and seems to be the only reason why everyone hates it), just something from the company derailed it (I was awfully surprised that David Fincher disowned it of all things). Tell me you saw the Assembly Cut and thought it was better. Resurrection was just awful to the point when I'd rather watch Army of Darkness over it any day (it's the third installment in Evil Dead if you don't know).
Army of Darkness is fantastic. "I'm the bad guy; you're the good guy" *Doink! - Pokes eyes*
I'm gonna have to agree with playerman, and get some Paper Mario practice in, to get used to the rapid flipping between different controller positions again.
1st trailer (the "Final Fantasy" one) Tuesday March 2nd, 2nd trailer (this one) Tuesday March 30th, exactly 4 weeks apart. Perhaps the next bit of media will arive on Tuesday April 27th.
keep in mind that news will probably speed up as we get closer to release. although april isn't much closer to june than march is in terms of game release periods so you may be right.
