You might not HAVE to use it, maybe just find some other way to the tube from outside.

This has been tested. No, there's no other way to do it, at least in that place.

No, Im not.
They dont share glitches, they have thier own.

Unsurprisingly, wrong. Emulators strive to emulate the system as close as possible -- that is, including all the glitches, and not adding any other on top. Apparently, I am right in the respect that you're misunderstanding the purpose of emulation.

And before he mentions a lot of the emu only glitches, I'm gonna insert my understanding that they may happen on the console if it had been capable of running such massive amounts of information. Emulation still doesn't really have different glitches, it's just capable of handling them better than on the console. IIRC, the ROMs are direct copies of the games, but the emulators aren't perfect.

But I might also be understanding it incorrectly.

Emus aimed for precision reproduce all the glitches exactly as on the console. Take BSNES or ZSNES for example, they're the most precise emulators to date. Snes9x is going there, too.

Edit: I'm editing all my really big useless posts into this so you don't waste your time reading them. If I should just leave them how they are then tell me and I'll stop editing them, but I think it would be better to not waste room on the page and stop if someone tells me to, than leaving them here to be annoying.

On the note of going backwards through the tube, wasn't there some glitch where you could fall through the top of the tube without breaking it?  Even if I am remembering correctly, though, with the route used in this TAS, doing Maridia after WS would probably not be a good idea due to the lack od speedbooster.

Yeah, the route itself to go to Maridia backwards through WS isn't worth it IMO. It would be slower at the end in any case (even with Speed Booster).

Though as Bahamut said, it's very well possible to break through that green gate and get in the Maridia Tube room from outside. By laying a Power Bomb you can simply destroy the glass just like doing it the normal way from inside. There is no difference.

And no BlueGlass, afaik there is no way to fall through the top of the tube without breaking it. This are thorough solid blocks which won't disappear unless you lay the PB.

Hmm, I stand corrected then.

Apparently, I confused it with SM:R, where the tubes indeed don't break from the outside.

Wow, didn't thought it's possible that way. Apparently the walls of the tube are not 1 solid block wide but 1/2 (just like the platforms in the vertical old Tourian Shaft in Crateria). Nice find!
