I'm new, so I thought that I'd throw in a stupid thing I found in SM.  In Maridia in the room right after Botwoon, begin by dashing through the quicksand area just after the reserve tank.  While in this passage, jump and go into ball form ("Speed Ball", as it is called on the streets), and try to land into one of the quicksand pits.  Samus will stop running, but she will still remain blue!  You can get out of ball form and walk around, and remain blue until you let go of the dash button.

Utterly useless, but interesting nonetheless :P.

Previously discovered.  Before anyone goes "omg another blue suit!1!!!" this is, as I recall, simply a visual bug (thus, one cannot press down to go into shinespark mode, unlike with the Draygon blue suit).

This sounds pretty much like the Temporary Blue Suit Glitch that was reported in this topic.

Althought you can't get a shinespark of it, it's still not just a visual effect. As long as you are blue you can still break all Bomb or Speed Blocks when you touch them. This way you can also get the Maridia Mainstreet Missile without Gravity Suit for example.
