My guess was the Beam Combos.

I thought "single weapon shot" referred to the auto-deselect that happens after you use a weapon when selected while holding select?

Jesus thats a nasty sentence

I would be surprised if that's what he meant, as relatively few people even know about it, and it's barely ever used.

Not exactly, but close to that. If you hold Cancel button and press Select, then the icon of selected item will blink. After selecting desirable weapon, release the Cancel button. After single shot from selected weapon, it will auto-disable your weapon and return to beams.

If you press Select once more when the item is blinking, then the next weapon will be selected normally.

This trick is unobvious even more than Crystal Flash trick. And, as I mentioned, it will greatly help non-TASers as far as TASers can perform 60 operations per second =)

Assuming you're using the default setup, of course, otherwise the buttons he mentioned could be correct.

Yean, I've forgot about this. My setup of buttons in Super Metroid is the same, but the keyboard setup is different

That's odd, it seems I forgot to post this here, of all places:

This is a comparison of Namespoofer's new run, Saturn's Ice run, and an old Ice run.  See the youtube description for more details. Sorry if I already posted this on this forum.
