So, I don't have any other recording systems that can get the video on my computer than my video camera. My question is, does anyone know can you record from TV with Canon MV890 miniDV-recorder, and if yes, then how?

We thought with Master that I would record a run with PAL-version and show it to him, but I only have my miniDV-recorder, nothing else.  :(

video out = video output, so way you can take a cable from the computer and plug it into the camera. otherwise i don't know what to tell you.

Okay umm I might sound stupid...

I do have a firewire card in my computer and I can capture video from my miniDV-recorder. The problem is that I'd need to get the gameplay-footage to my cam first.

My mini dv has a AV in jack and its own cable - that's how I record from the console.  Your camera might not have one.

Yes, my camera also has an AV-output and a cable to watch videos from television, but I can't get my miniDV-recorder to actually record straight from television through it. You can watch old footage from television with that cable but I haven't gotten it to record...  :(

Yeah all mini dv camcorders have av out (or should at least) but I said mine has AV in too.
