...I just recorded a 37 minute single-segment run! I was really disappointed when Azor broke the record before me, but after this long (with no run posted), I decided to give it a shot (I usually do segmented runs). I will send it in ASAP. 8-)

Very nice. I've never played Super Metroid, and I'm going to watch it. (Although, I may have an SNES and SM in about a week or two.)

altough its not necessary anymore mailing the USA cost aproximately between 300 and 400 pesos, thats like 30 dollars

it isnt actually much money but the truth is i dont have it but ill certainly keep playing super metroid, a new challenge is ahead so i need practice

thanks, for some reason i feel faster

anyway i still have to figure away my kraid problem, the thing is i kill him with 3 supers and 1 normal and end up with 3 normals regularly

the thing is i totally skip recharging with everything kraid leaves and that makes me waste 2 normal missiles on mini kraid, he mostly gives me health because of spike jumping and im left with 1 normal for 3 space pirates and thats quite a waste

there must be a solution

Could you just jump over mini Kraid? Or would you have too few super missiles or something else I'm missing?

i might have to recharge on kraid, it would make things easier

ill still skip 1 missile

WHOAA i just got a great idea!! im gonna get an emulator and record a run, then i can post it and ask for some aspects i could improve

If you've got the charge beam, a charged spazer will kill a pirate, so spazer the first, missile the second, and if you've somehow managed a missle refill, the third dies the same way. The only other thing I can think of is not spike boosting back across the roiom before kraid to kill a bug and hope for missiles.

im probably gonna go for the refill

even if i manage to break across the room i still need 2 missiles, 1 normal and 1 super to escape the lair with a tank

another super to open quickly the high jump boots and last super for the heated room

Well, this is relying on a lot of luck, but you could probably grab the supers you need from the enemies after the tank and down Norfair main street. Also, as far as I can tell, Mini Kraid LOVES to drop supers, so you could use one on the bugs in the e-tank room if you need to, and still have enough left over to get you to the first bubble room in Norfair.

Unless you're at low health, mini-Kraid ALWAYS drops four Supers immediately after dying. So, assuming you get at least two supers from Kraid's death, that's five after Mini-Kraid (one used to kill him), one used to exit Kraid's lair, one used on the way to high jump, two used to reach the bubble room in Norfair, and the cactus there is a definite super refill, plus the enemies in Norfair seem to give super drops at a fairly high rate, and, if absoluely necessary, you can get a quick refill from the pipe bugs by the speed booster.
