Why Why Why Why Why WHY Didnt nintendo use the PRIME model for Samus's Suit! Not that I hate the Other M model. Its just that the Metroid Prime suit model was the EPITOME of metroid. It looked so damn classic!

My guess, if we're taking this type of question seriously for a second, would be that it is more in line with the athletic, more nimble Samus that they wanted this game to portray.

Also, I hate the new Gravity suit so much Its not even a suit! I call it the "Gravity Boost" because of MP2 echoes.

Inaccurate title.  You obviously have more than one complaint about the game.

The one that is I.
That is more like a minor complaint than a real qualm. The reason the suit is different is because they had a different artist. Duh...

Secondly, they didn't even call it the Gravity Suit in the game. They called it the gravity effect. Pay attention.

So the where's waldo parts, the voice acting, and the ham-fisted story ripped off of Fusion were alright?

It's a "Feature."

LOL - I think it's funny that you:

A) Only have ONE complaint about Other M;

& B)  It's a complaint that's not even on my list of 1001 complaints.

They had to change the suit design because if Samus had her giant Prime shoulder pads, they would block the screen in the slow-walking parts.

The Overlord of All Acorns.
they changed the suit design because sakamoto was mad that his waifu samus was taken by EVIR AMERICAN COMPANY, and overall, that Retro was more successful with the series over the same time span than he was.

In order to list 1001 of them, I'd have to start getting pretty ridiculous after about 50 or so.  It just sounded like a good number to use.

HA! Busted! :D

Eh, it had alot of things that we're "bit" fucked up. The minor ones like Wallo and other basic shit was not that bad.

But it also had really good things.

lol no way
Probably you could list each room on end and work out a different adjective to call all of them out. Even then though you'll still only have like twelve complaints. *zing*

The extent of the problems in this game was much greater than the degree.

I'm gonna try to sum up what I don't like about Other M in one sentence, if that's even possible.  Here goes:

This is not a Metroid game that I feel like I could play over and over again for years, striving for mastery.

It's kinda boring.  There's so much time spent just running running running through rooms with little to interact with unless it's the first time you've gone through that room, and even then it doesn't promise to be entertaining.

I think I'll be playing this game over a few times, if only for the boss fights. I've never been one to try to really speed run or sequence break (SM/MZM excluded) so the forced order doesn't really bother me. I don't really have any problem with the suits, but I would like being able to tell if I have the gravity suit/effect/whatever without going into one of the five rooms you glow in.

How about a positive spin... does anyone else think the designers did a good job when Samus acknowledges what the others say by nodding and how she activates and deactivates the face shield?

I thought activating the face shield was pretty cool. Nodding was a nice touch, but I don't really think I acknowledged it too much.

Not even Echoes used the original Prime model, IIRC.

Nope, Echoes and Corruption used the same model, but it changed slightly between Prime and Echoes.
