In the in-game soundtrack gallery, there's Metroid Battle Theme. But it's the Elite Pirate battle music from Prime 1, which I don't recall ever hearing in Prime 3. Is it there and I was too busy killing things to notice?

Also, the Steamlord battle music is familiar, like a remix of something, but I can't quite place it. Where is it from?

I believe that the Metroid theme is when you remove the power cell from that branching room in Pirate Research and have to fight the Metroids you inadvertently release due to that. And only then.
Not sure on the Steamlord music however.

Way to spell Phoenix wrong.

The music that plays after the Metroids are released is different. It's kind of a remix of the original Metroid theme, more suspenseful and less intense than the Elite Pirate music.

Disguzting homosapienz!...
And in the original soundtrack for metroid prime the name of the track is  "Samus Vs. Chozo Ghost" so technically the song was written most likely to be the chozo ghost theme. Which I always consider it anyway because in my first playthrough I fought those annoying little pieces of crap SOOO MANY TIMES!  Shocked
