I don't know if you guys already know this, but there is a wii action replay-like device out called ocarina. To use this (and other homebrew) you only need an SD card and twilight princess, and you can use cheats like infinite health, missiles, moonjump. This could be useful for testing out things and for practising I think.

It works pretty well for me, I tested it on SSBB. You can get instructions on loading homebrew with twilight hack, and ocarina, on wiibrew.org.

I think a lot of people know about this, but a lot more don't.

I still don't get why you need Twilight Princess. Why TP?

I assume he's referring to the softmodding option that this allows:

(Isn't there a way to attach a hyperlink to a word instead of using the URL? Bah.)

not evil,just hungry
if someone actually does this, please test the following:

grapple lasso vs grapple swing required to use Skytown rails
nova beam able to open plasma doors/weld panels?
normal missle/grapple voltage required to use hyper versions
SWs in the first skytown landing point (where you fight Ghor)

You need swing to use those (it doesn't require moon jump to try it). :(

Also for anyone who wants to try these:

It started giving me error messages, I had to send it in to get repaired.

Now that I've got my Wii back, I've been messing with moon jump for the past few hours. I checked these rooms for potential secret worlds:

Generator C: Invisible ceiling.
Cliffside Airdock: Invisible walls to each of the sides; the only way to get out here is by getting to the skywalk, which is pretty high up
Docking Hub Alpha: There aren't any invisible walls/ceilings, but getting that far out doesn't seem possible
Cargo Hub: No way to get out. (the invisible ceiling above the morph ball tunnel also extends up to the ceiling)
Fiery Airdock: Skywalk starts above the lavafalls.
Warp Site Bravo: It's possible to reach skywalk, but it's high up and there don't appear to be any ledges that can help you up.
Imperial Caverns: At the top, the walls stop being solid a little bit of the way up. In the part down below with all the SA walls, the walls are all solid, but the ceiling isn't.
Imperial Crypt: Invisible ceiling.
First room in Bryyo's Leviathan (presumably for all the other ones as well): It's possible to get out by going down the tunnel the ship comes in from. It doesn't seem possible to get down there without moon jump though.
Bryyo Leviathan Core: All the walls/ceilings are solid, and there's invisible walls stretched over the circular things in the walls. If you go straight up through the hole in the ceiling, you'll eventually reach an invisible ceiling.
Docking Bay 5: This actually seems like it might be possible. There's a huge gap between where you can get to and the aether; however you can stand on the ships that come out of the doors to the side, and they'll carry you across the whole thing.
Main Docking Bay: Bad news about the drone: although it SHOULD take you into a secret world, it won't because the path it takes is blocked off by an invisible wall. -_-
Transit Hub: Seems hopeless, the aether is too far out. The only way I can see it being possible is if you can screw attack out and get an instant unmorph from it. Not to mention even if you could use more than one bomb in midair, it still wouldn't be possible to get out due to the walls not being solid after going a little bit of the way up.
Landing Site: Skywalk is too high up; the invisible wall also extends too high up to be able to get out.
Entry Canyon: Invisible ceiling.
Cavern Alpha: Surprisingly, there actually aren't any invsible walls/ceilings covering any of the openings.
Cavern Beta: invisible ceiling
Sanctum: Skywalk is well out of jumping distance, but still fairly low.

Also recorded a lot of stuff, I'll have a video up later.

So it looks like you can go back onto the olympus whenever you want by triggering the control tower cutscene? If you could find a way to wallcrawl back to docking bay 5, things would be interesting. I can't think of a sw to enter, although aurora chamber could possibly work. I don't know if you could use the command visor in docking bay 5, or if the olympus would be selectable to land at, but it would probably stay on the map.

Another thing to look into would be a wallcrawl from docking bay 5 to medlab delta. Do you know if the ped cutscene is triggered or if nothing happens? If it does trigger, then norion could be skipped completely.

I checked all the rooms that are accessible upon returning to the Olympus; none of them have any openings that allow SW entrance. :\ I also tried going to Medlab Delta, but I couldn't get the room past the locked door to load. It's possible I was doing something wrong, I'll have to try it again later.

One other thing that might be interesting is if I went to Pirate Homeworld's research area early using the train.

Can you test leaving bryyo ice after getting the first message? I know it's not gonna work, but just for confirmation.

Another thing I was thinking of is if you can leave screw attack's room through a SW once you enter it. IIRC the doors lock until you take it, so you can't just exit then moon jump your way back.

I'm pretty sure only the top door is locked. Don't know about the ones leading to tower, but I think the door you enter through stays unlocked. Of course, I could be wrong.

The tops doors are locked until you grapple lasso the switch up top. On the bottom you just have to screw attack in the opposite direction from where you got it.

Thanks for clearing that up. In that case I'd like to know if you can trigger the third message before getting screw (the one you get in tower IIRC). I just want to know that there's no alternate way to get the valhalla on your map, not even by going to the end of bryyo ice and leaving. Preferably not even by reaching the end of the game without screw (via moon jump), but I doubt anyone is that bored.

Just for clarification, the first message is once you fall in imperial caverns, the second is in tower, and the third is at the top of imperial caverns while returning to the portal.

Some quick tests done with moonjump and some wallcrawling.
- A ship missile expansion before the main pickup allows you to do a bombing raid.
- From the start of the game you can wallcrawl out to the Aurora, which puts you in orbit around Norion.  There is no landing point on Norion if this happens.  This forces you to skip the missile launcher, energy tank, grapple lasso, and PED.  I'll see how far this can go.
- One can also enter into the pirate attack part before meeting Dane.  When you get to where the Berserker Lord is, the game is still in non-pirate attack mode there.
- There seems to be no infinite speed.  Wronged room testing showed that attempting to roll when stuck did not work.  If one morphs while moving, you spin abit and slow to a stop.
- I was not able to wallcrawl around locked doors triggered for fights.  I might just suck.

Weirdness:
- There is a hidden pirate vessel above the save room in Thorn Bryyo.
- Going through Thorn Bryyo backwords (through the secret room) and facing Korrak left me stuck *in* the pile of rubble after the fight.  Even after slow death by fire, the respawn point was in the rubble.  This might have resulted from finishing the first phase well above the ground or entering backwards.
- During the Rundus fight, the elevator went missing (but the door was locked).  Might have been from destroying a pirate vessel in the SW before phase 2 of the fight.  He got stuck down there, lol.  Two rooms later, the gel was not flowing.

Still to test:
- triggering Valhalla w/o getting Screw Attack.
- Missile expansion w/o main missiles.
- Wallcrawling out to the Thorn Bryyo landing site to see what happens.

BTW, you do not need to install the homebrew channel if you don't want to.  Just put the boot.elf file on the root of the SD card and run the Twilight hack.

Extra PS:  Remmeber DJGrenola's vision of learning through saves?  One can get the raw savegame data with Save Extractor/Installer.  Giant chunks of the data have massive changes even if you something minor between saves (hashes?), but other parts have minor changes.  I can post what I have if anyone is interested.

I have a question on that, i don't have a SD card. Thiers a USB port in the back of the wii so could i put the boot.elf file on a flash drive?

Unfortunately, no; Twilight Hack will only load and ELF (or DOL) file from the front SD slot on the Wii.

It's an attack skiff.  It cannot be damaged.  Was it used in a scripted event?

-A missile expansion w/o main works.
-Crawling out to the Thorn Bryyo landing site gives an "OFFLINE" message on the visor.  So the landing site in Fiery Bryyo cannot be glitched into existance as hoped, or any other weird glitch.

So if you manage to get to a landing site before you're supposed to be able to get there, the command visor is disabled?
