Minimum% run?

Is there a speed run of the lowest possible amount of items collected? As far as I can tell, this game can be beaten with only:

1 missile expansion
3 super missile expansions
1 power bomb expansion

Varia Suit
Gravity Suit

Morphing Ball
Bombs

Speed Booster

Charge
Ice Beam

Unless you need some other item to pass through the zebetite, I think that's all you need to beat this game.

Oh, I wasn't really aware what would happen while fighting mother brain. I suppose you'd need a minimum amount of energy tanks to survive that?

yeah

The lowest amount of items necessary is 7%, however you need really f'd up glitching to do that:

Morph Ball
Missile
Bombs
Super Missiles
Power Bombs
Speed Booster
X-ray scope

I'm working on a TAS that does this, so yeah, there will be vids... eventually. aiwebs_008

For the legal minimum percent run which is 14% you'd need 3 etanks to survive the Rainbow Beam which is most probably the last attack she'll use before the baby metroid comes in. (unless you still have a lot energy)

14% is real low-%. What is that 8% run? Yeah you need some X-ray glitch here, i don,t know working that with console. I don,t never managed that glitch.

If you skip MB battle how you can activated last escape? Your must be skip that MB IMO, because you need 3 ET against rainbow beam. It is cool see 8% run.

But yeah 14% is real low-% run.

The 8% run uses the space/time beam, not the X-ray.

Every Bit Counts

The lowest percent is 7%. That abuses the Pause Screen (to stay alive at 0 healt by going back and forth from it) and X-Ray Climbing/Out of room movement. The lowest percent without major glitches is 14%. 15% is the lowest pecent without glitching (I think)
