Major congratulations paraxade. You're a Prime genius. Thanks for busting out the coveted %21 game in Prime 1 as well. Thanks for always answering forum questions and just being helpful in general. I would have been playing prime3 all along if I had the Wii system. I can't wait to get one, for the sole reason of playing Prime 3; using your ground breaking research. Hell yeah, go go go!!! P.S. What was your user name on m2k2 before paraxade, if u don't mind me asking?

i saw the 20% error lol.

anyway. many congrats to paraxade. he managed to pull through all the difficulties and finished with a great time. not many people would have endured the crap he took, especially at the end when everything was dying but i guess 4300+ hours of playing the same game makes it give in eventually..

I do mind actually. :x

And thanks! A lot of time and effort has been put into this run, so I hope everyone enjoys it!

Never stressed
I can't get over how awesome the morph balling is. The spring ball thing is just so much more useful than I'd ever expected.

Hmm... should definitely check this one out sometime seeing as I remember those early days with craztad's test run and the low% hypermode runs a few of us did. Feels like an eternity has passed since then. Regardless of how long it took, I'd say the effort was well worth the adventure. Completely blows me away with how much skill it must have taken to not only play the game itself at the level you can, but to also deal with all of the various issues that came up during this run. As UchihaSasuke mentioned, I don't know if I would've had the patience to deal with all of that coming at me right at the end.

Great to finally have this up there! (And thanks for mentioning me specifically, even though I'm pretty sure you were part of the team that helped me bring HS to life! Very Happy )

The thing about that is when I'm so close to the end and I've already put up with a bunch of other shit for over 2 years to get there, I'll be damned if I'm not gonna finish. :P And no problem! I felt it was worth mentioning you because it's pretty much the only helpful sequence break in the game lol.

Yeah, yours was definitely a unique case when you factor in the 2 year timeline for the run. With that in mind I probably would've come to the same conclusion you did and pushed that much harder to finish the thing. But normally? Don't know.

Awesome job, paraxade. There may not be as many breaks here, but it's clear that there was a ridiculous amount of effort put in to it.

I'm not a fan of the bashing in the game desciption at the top; it just seems childish, but whatever.

Good run. I was so afraid of Hpyer Mode when I first played it, I didn't notice just how easy it made the game.

But on that note, this run has shown just how dull that game actually is. My brother and I (while watching the run) practically fell asleep because the game was tailored around the fighting and not the puzzle solving.

I just watched the entire thing. That was seriously impressive. I don't see that time being broken for a long time, given the quality of the run and the the difficulty in running the game.

Registered just to comment!  This run actually makes me feel all giddy to play Prime 3 again, your run is some pretty impressive stuff!  Are you ever thinking of a hypermode speed run?

Although there was just one thing that bugged me.  You used the "fast grapple" trick for grapple jumps, but not for grapple lassos.  Still, not really a big deal I guess, since this time probably won't be broken for a while.

Congrats again!

err... fast grapple trick? what're you talking about?

Grappling's always gonna be a lot faster on grapple jumps. With grapple lasso you have to jerk the nunchuk forward and back. With grapple swing all you have to do is lock onto the grapple point and she automatically grapples it.

I mean, if you jump before you throw the nunchuck out, it quickens the animation by about a second.

The link shows it for Prime 1's grapple beam, but it also works for Prime 3's grapple lasso.

hmm. didn't know about that.
one of the most impressive speedruns I have ever seen!..the control is terrible for a speedrun but you have it mastered perfect..
