I think that there should be a remake of Metroid II in 3D (ie a FPS/TPS).  I think it'd be cool to see what an Omega Metroid looks like in 3d.  Maybe they could retcon in some space pirates (trying to capture Metroids & use them as bioweapons, and trying to stop Samus from destroying them), a boss fight with Ridley, and maybe some X-parasites.

What do y'all think?

That is not a reason to go for a FPS/TPS-style, except you like Prime.
