I'm at 70% right now, I just got the missile in Frost Cave (took over an hour >_>)

71% is the for sure best, but I think 80 is within reach

you can get wavebuster, but i don't think anyone's discovered a way to leave sun tower once you have it. so i'd recommend getting it last.

I tried this a little while back.. as far as mines go there were 9 expansions I didn't pick up (1 attainable), with your request to be able to reach a save point again.

Metroid Quarantine B (needed super missiles)
Metroid Quarantine A (although it is possible, with the dash back to the door to Elevator B)

Everything in Upper Mines, as I couldn't pass from Elite Control to Elite Control Access, there doesn't seem to be a loading point for that room.

So that also leaves

Elite Control Access (Missile)
Elite Research x2 (Missile and Warrior)
Storage Depot A (Flamethrower)
Security Access A (Missile)
Main Quarry (Missile)
Storage Depot B (Grapple)

I count that as 8% in mines that I couldn't get.

So the max% accounted for so far is 73%

I got to Phendranas Edge, so with IS both Spirit and Security Cave Power Bomb Exp can be collected, but I don't have grapple, so leaving is impossible as far as I know...

Edit Has anyone ever wall crawled with IS? once you unmorph you cant use your beams, but switching rooms, should still work...

i know you can get the main plaza missile with floaty jump and also probably the one in ruined fountain (though it would be very difficult). the phendrana shorelines one can be gotten from a secret world. also, iirc it's possible to leave phendrana's edge by ghetto jumping onto the glider (though also very difficult).

Do you recall where you ghetto to make this jump? I only remember method where you need to grapple the glider and and SJ onto the wall before jumping onto the top of the glider.

I am sure it can be done, but wallcrawling blind does not sound practical.. especially across multiple rooms. If you could manage to travel as morph ball most of the way then maybe, but whenever I unmorph it just messes up all my graphics.

exactly, the game still plays fine, you just can't see what your doing, just think about it with general knowledge of where the ather is, you can float (ather jumping would be almost impossible), once you hit the skywalk use your map to walk above the door and then morph and drop onto it, jump around a little and just watch the map in the top right/left (I forget where the map is lol) you could switch rooms like that, this would be difficult but no where near impossible.

In theory you could wallcrawl to the super missile and use the secret world in the super missile room to wallcrawl back out. That will open up the ability to get the main plaza missile expansion.

I know that, but I can never get the SW near the super missile to work, I am also not 100% sure if you can wall crawl there...

I've had trouble attempting to wallcrawl to the super missile.

I couldn't pass through from Research Core Access to Research Lab Aether, because I wasn't able to negotiate the sideways door. I also couldn't get Specimen Storage to load from Ruined Courtyard.

How is this done? It's easy to get right up to it but I can't touch it like the one in Main Plaza..

strange, when trying to replicate it i seem to not be getting close enough to the missile. it was a while ago when i did this so i'm not exacly sure how i managed it. i might have just ceiling warped above it but i guess that wouldn't be particularly useful in this situation.

couldn't you just grab it using IS?

Regarding getting to Supers/Elder, using the SW in Ruined Courtyard I managed to get to Research Entrance without wave beam today. I loaded Hydra Lab Entryway but as of yet haven't managed to transition into that room, as there is an invisible wall over the door. This was also the case to get into Specimen Storage, but I managed that so I am sure it is possible.. just awkward.

I have tried going from the other way before too, and couldn't get to Supers because of the sideways door in the room after thermal.

I have just managed to wallcrawl into research lab hydra. I am now faced with the horizontal door to observatory access, and am wondering where the loading zone is.. If this one door can be passed then I think it will be clean sailing to Supers, and hopefully Elder.
