How much time does it actually save? It can't be more than a couple seconds right? I guess I'm just wondering if you could try a couple times and still save time.
BTW, what dashes are you talking about itsPersonnal?
I can think of maybe a couple. The dash from the lower catwalk in phazon mines, heading to waste disposal comes to mind. The other might be the dash from the ship to the door on the way to Ridley. Both of these are from Miles' 1:00 run, so they are fairly recent and I haven't had much time to mess around with them, but those are just the ones that come to mind.
Caveberry, I think he meant in segment 3 alone and I assume the two dashes are the ones from the ship left up the ledge and the one through the door to the space jump boots. The last dash back to the ship is simple, relatively speaking.
yeah I was talking about the dash though the door into space jump, its clearly not as bad as SJF on the left side but getting it perfect after getting SFJ on the left side will be hell and then the dash back to the ship isn't a hard one, but people -and miles- seem to mess it up sometimes
Hey Miles, are you working on segment 3 off screen or taking a break? I ask 'cause your stream as been off air for a few days. unless I missed it when you were online.
C'mon, let's bump this for Miles. We all know he is actually a robot, and that he is more than capable of all tricks. He could probably get a :55 if he realty put his quad-core CPU and actuators to it...
1. We could just send save files to each other online 2. No, SDA would allow it
But to be honest, for this run I'd like to do it solo. Probably sounds stupid, but I'd like to have a sub-hour personal best time, and I can't really say that it's my personal best if it's a joint run with someone else. >_>
i cant see what is so hard on this left side dash BTW please can someone tell me if the map costs ingame time? i have an idea how we could make this dash really easy..
Mrspeedrun: its hard because the button input and positioning are ridiculously precise, and why not just test for your self if the map counts ingame time? also pause buffering should never be necessary in metroid prime if that's your idea on how to simplify this trick, its not a very good one.
