Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

The colours certainly give the impression of Samus's suit mixed with some of the colours of parts of Brinstar, but perhaps a little more definition to highlight different areas may have implied more sense of Samus being somewhere. Perhaps just emphasising the suit colours (red / orange) would have helped.

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

You're not supposed to 'see' her. Essentially, the picture is just colours and shapes that make a picture as a whole. The creator is inspired to create it with the mental impression given from their subject matter.

SKb I thought that was her space ship.

you can really see her helmet though on the top left, but also in the middle-left you can see another samus (or something).

I like it.

Breathe in the Future, Breathe out the Past

Given that this piece of art is left to the viewers impression, I feel the need to add that Samus is indeed in there, upper left. The concept behind the piece was a very vivid brinstar, with all sorts of plants and stuff. It's as if a spore got into her helmet and shes having a crazy trip traversing the region.

My second sentence kind of explained it, but it was supposed to read as something like: The colours and shapes in the image are directly inspired by the original impression of the creator. As opposed to planned, direct shapes / colours being placed sequentially to create a designed piece.
