I thought I'd just say hello to everyone on the board.

If you want to know, the first Metroid game I played was Prime, and I've been a fan of Metroid ever since.

I've been visiting the site for a while and was too lazy to register until today

So, hi everybody

I always thought about sleeping with one on my head and then waking up randomly screaming. I think seriously someone should make Metroid plushies. Hell they make 10923819745 Pokemon ones. Where's our one Metroid one?

ps: o_o/ hi

Oh come on.  It's easy!  Just think for a second.  It's the most brilliant joke in the world for a reason you know.  :)

Man, it seems like everyone new makes a thread.  I'm not complaining, but......bleh.  BTW, can I make a thread every so often that says "I'm not new here...a lot of you know me already....hey"?

Well I don't want to come off as totally rude, so: hey Kelby!

It's a pretty common thing at forums, and for a lot of people it's just a way to address the community to say hi and be friendly before just jumping in.  I really don't see the harm in it.  It's not like there are 3-5 of these threads a day.

So you didn't come off as totally rude, just about 88.9%.  Good way to keep potentially cool new members posting n_n

Why am I so amazing?
Hi I'm new threads are only a problem when there's a million people joining up each day. Right now, we're still pretty small so it's all good.

Welcome.

I'm working on a Metroid plushie. The problem is making it look good since it's supposed to be see-through, with veins attached to the shell from the red things.

[display of emotional vulnerability]I think it's cool that these boards respond to "Hi I'm new" threads by welcoming the newb rather than lcoking and loading their Flame-throwers.  I registered here on a whim, but the welcome I got made me think this might be a cool place to hang out for awhile.  [/display of emotional vulnerability]

Back to my usual, calculating self.

That "are you an orange" thing is very similar to an in-joke at my church, only that involved trees, usually.

some boards suggest making an introductory thread. one i visited had one thread which started 2 years ago and is still a hot topic. it includes all hellos.  :D

it seems to be the norm here. that is why i did one. i saw others do it, and i wanted to be a conformist.  Rolling Eyes

hello Kelby ;)

I personally never make a "Hay I'm new" thread as I've seen them either teeter on inaneness or become a "Bash the noobs" thread.

I just slip in under the radar and start posting.

Not that I be-grudge anyone that does it. One forum I went to made one for EVERY person that signed up. After about a year it was like "Crap dude, give it a rest, it's just Post Count+1 now"

But I digress. Twin Snakes calls to me.

If you'll remember right a majority of the newly welcomed never came back after seeing that kind of insanity XD

And you also see where that board is today because of it.
